For our second release we present a collaboration with Our Lady of Therapy & Anger, Robyn Chaos, alongside one of our up and coming artists and Therapy resident, Fortitude.

"Think for Yourself. Question Authority." 140 CONSPIRACY is a complex, multifaceted track. A hypnotic darkstep that makes you feel like you have been kidnapped and thrust into the back room of secret rebellion, opening you up to a psychological awaking like a bad trip. Then, just as you're about to put on your balaclava and Office Space some ATMs and get all Occupy on the Worlds ass, it erupts into a cheeky roller that reminds us that consciousness and social change can, and very often has, started with the music and can happen on the dance floor.

SPECTRAL ARMY is the polar opposite. The last rites and satan's melody explode to a wind tunnel of evil bass and face smacking beats like the doorway to purgatory has been torn from its hinges and every monster is hitting you on the way out. The musical equivalent of blasphemy, nothing short of pure carnage, to scare the living shit out of your dancefloor. Enjoy!

Abducted Records is proud to announce, ABDUCTED LTD. If you havent yeat heard, we are launching an all Drum and Bass label that will be pushing some of the most versitile sounds in the game. With that said, we will be launching our very first release, which will be a compilation of artists the likes of: Cooh, Stranjah, DJ Hidden, Fortitude, Sinister Souls, Mason, Subsonik, Netics, Atic, Fendi, Cemtek, Picota & Kumbh, SICKorWELL, RA:SKL, Dioptrics, as well as some more that may possibly be on the way. 

Second clip is from the mad duo Sinister Souls. Brutality is the only word that comes to mind with this one, as it mixes an amazing melody, with techy basslines, and fast rolling drums. This one is tried and true on the dancefloors of the world, and we are proud to announce it will be joining the compilation set to drop in April!

‘Velocity’ is the third album from MachineCode, following hot on the heels of 2013’s seminal ‘Under The Sun’ and continuing where its predecessor left off, taking up a position outside currently definable sub- genres. 12 tracks deep this time (including remixes from Mindscape and The Sect), the duo’s classic D&B sensibilities are well-evidenced, with rugged breaks, deep basslines and elegant pads the order of the day. Yet every element has received the unique and immediately identifiable MachineCode treatment, resulting in an album that pushes boundaries, but does so with a maturity and depth all too frequently lacking in today’s bass music scene. Moving seamlessly from brooding, percussive-led tribal pieces - through intricately-crafted, edit-heavy workouts and stepping, ‘80s-influenced neuro - to straight up dancefloor killers, ‘Velocity’ covers many angles. MachineCode prove they are more than adept at each - every track is infused with soul and their unmistakeable robotic funk, culminating in an album interesting and varied enough to sustain repeated home listening, whilst also satisfying even the most demanding of dancefloors.

Fierce has been an important figure in drum & bass for a long old time now. First starting out on No U-Turn at the age of 16 in the mid ‘90s, he’s gone on to properly earn his stripes, gracing respected labels like Prototype, Ram, Virus and so many more whilst setting up his own imprint Quarantine along the way. In short, the man’s reputation carries all across d&b and to all corners of its spectrum. You could call him a DJ’s DJ, or you could just call him what he is, namely insanely committed to exploring and scoring the nether regions of his chosen form. Fierce has always got material that other people don’t and he’s got an incredible knack and fusing it with tracks people know a bit better with aplomb. He really gets it, on a technical and physical level so we’re chuffed to be able to present this promo mix from him ahead of his upcoming back to back set with Zero T in Room Three on Friday 27th March.

Born in Christchurch, New Zealand in July of 1973, the one called Futech was one of the distinct DJs of the Auckland drum n bass scene. With over 15 years of DJing under his belt, Futech is known throughout Australasia for pushing the boundaries and taking it to the next level. Launching his musical career as House/Techno DJ Elevate over a decade ago, Futech tired of the lack of progression in the House scene after five years, and ultimately turned his sights on drum n bass, with a name change to Futech. With influences such as Ed Rush and Optical, Evol Intent and Spor, Futech classes himself as a full-spectrum drum n bass DJ, not just the hard-as-nails dark man he's been perceived to be. A shift across the ditch to Sydney Australia in 2000 saw the birth of the DBA (Drum n Bass Addicts) collective, which consisted of Kiwis KSM, Machinist, Pixie, Styles and Rohan. After three successful years of DBA parties, including Bass Invaders, Outbreak and Holocaust and hosting a successful radio show on Rhythm FM, Futech returned home to the Land of the Long White Cloud to focus further on promoting and producing. He  founded the DBA website devoted totally to drum n bass continuing to focus on getting local drum n bass material exposed and building a growing network between DJ's and Producers in New Zealand and the rest of the world. The DBA website is now shut down as Futech is now concentrating on getting his own material out there plus family commitments. Futech  has played at Limewax, Tech Itch, Earthdance 2000-2003, Slipp In, Blueprint, Outbreak (Aus, NZ), Fractile (Aus), We Want Bass (NZ), Warfare on the Crossfade (Chch), Rumble in the Jungle (Chch), Holocaust (Syd), Bass Invaders (NZ), Sunday Subsessions (Weekly local night), Path to Darkness feat Tech Itch. Plus much more. Clubs have included Kiss (Ak), Angle Bar (Ak), Fu Bar (Ak), Ministry (Ak), Galatos (Ak), Toto (Ak), Foci (Ak), Viper Club (Ak), Herzog (Ak), Base (Chch), K Rd.
