The rather mysterious @clivefromaccounts has been behind several brilliant EP's over the last couple of years with stand-out releases on Dirt Crew and Outplay of special note. Israeli producer Nenor delivers a 4-tracker of impeccably produced dancefloor weapons for his second outing on Razor-N-Tape. Since releasing on Moodyman’s legendary Mahogani label a few years back and as part of duo Rabo & Snob, Nenor has been honing his craft in the studio, and now puts his skills on full display on an EP that ranges from the poppy disco house of “How Can I Be Free” to the deep Larry Heard-esque textures of “Do You Remember,” and the gritty underground bangers of  the title track and “Work That.”  He did indeed take his time on this beautifully crafted record, and the result is something quite special.

New Zealander via Berlin Philippa is a producer and DJ whose passion for house music, tireless commitment to her craft and ear for what makes a dance floor tick is slowly and surely starting to pay off. Having been a prominent DJ and promoter back in New Zealand she relocated to the European mecca of electronic music in 2013, where she embraced not only Berlin’s nightlife but also its rich heritage of synthesizers, samplers, and sound design. She immersed herself in a new world which saw her lecturing at an institute of arts and technology by day and creating beautiful and unique house music by night. Launching At Peace Music in 2019 led to her music falling on the ears of Jimpster who was suitably impressed and eager to hear more.

Cut to 2022 and we’re proud to present ‘There’s A Ghost In My Synthesizer’, an EP which showcases Philippa’s musicality and production nous across 4 tracks which takes in funk-infused, rolling grooves, blissful, string-heavy atmospherics and crunchy disco beats.  On the title track Philippa goes heavy on the strings and horns bringing some welcome Philly Soul vibes to a track which is guaranteed to bring something special to the party.  ‘I Guess I Have Boy’ puts a live bass line front and centre whilst sweeping pads keep things deep and warm. The up-tempo funked up groove of ‘Dimes’ follows, giving us a little hint of Philippa’s love of jacking Chicago house but with her own unique twist with that live, jazzy feel which she does so well. Closing out the EP ‘Slow It Down’ brings a smooth, soulful touch to the release with lush strings and vocal from Mo Van Zandt.

Toy Tonics presents a new producer team: Sound Support consists of two enthusiastic synth and house aficionados that everybody knows (in the scene): Lars Dales from Dam Swindle and Lorenz Rhode (keyboard wizard and producer genius).
Together they are doing extremely groovy, jazz infected dance music that connects the good things of 1990ies house with the indie disco of the 2000s.

Lars Dales & Lorenz Rhode connected through their mutual love for all things musically unusual. After years of having worked together on several projects, such as the Dam Swindle live show, they finally got around to making music together. The result has been nothing less than an avalanche of tracks, mostly made in 4 day coffee fueled studio sessions in Lorenz’ studio in Cologne. All reminding the big funk house tracks of the early 2000s. Yes a lot of Daft Punk is here, a lot of NYC disco influences. Larry Levan and Laurent Garnier, DJ Harvey and Masters at Work.. all influences on this record.

After their first two Sound Support EP’s on Prins Thomas’ label, Internasjonal, they’ve ventured out to House of Disco and other labels with a wide array of immensely enjoyable synth heavy tracks. 2023 sees these two venture more into house territory with releases on AUS music and Toy Tonics, two labels that have cemented themselves deeply into the underground scene. In any case, it’s clear that Sound Support have found its signature sound and there is much more of that to look forward to. Toy Tonics is the key label for the wildstyle house scene and Sound Support fit perfectly. Welcome!

Driven by the purity of a life-changing dance floor experience, Ede’s unwavering dedication to making and playing music remains steadfast and forms the nucleus of a remarkably successful entrance into electronic music. His journey is driven by the freedom and inclusion inherent in dance music. A transcendent moment on the dance floor at Panorama Bar led to a total shift in his life - taking a leap of faith to leave his successful career, and hometown, moving to Berlin to make music. Amazingly, his first release was signed to the label of his dreams - Innervisions - followed by a second release with Correspondent.

Polycat is his latest single, releasing on Future Disco. The track hits you straight away with bright house chords before the booming four to the floor and sixteenth hats rattle you into the world of Ede. A percussive synth melody joins shortly before the choppy vocals complete the recipe of this disco banger with the hats wide open. More and more layers of melody and effect are added to the mix, but in true Ede fashion it stays clean and groovy. A grungy dancefloor hit describes this song best, appealing to house fans as well as disco.
