When @insomniacevents asked me to a make a throwback mini mix of all the breaks jams from my youth for Wide Awake Stories I said "FUCK YES!!!" and immediately rushed to my Mums house to raid my first ever bunch of DJ stuff. I spent a week recording vinyls, ripping CDs and asking homies for long lost jams I'd remember from watching Kid Kenobi or The Jackal at Kink, Sublime, The Globe etc... Then spent an evening throwing them all together and ended up with this 10 minute mix of soooo many tunes that influenced me to make what I do now, which I guess is a combo of house, garage, bassline & all this breakbeat... dunno what you call it - but all of these jams def helped lead me here. So many anthems!!!

There was also another masssssssive "FUCKN' YESSSS!" from me when the guys asked if I wanted to play alongside many of the legends in this mix at Planet Rock!! So now... myself and homie Sinden are gone be laying down our vibes before breakbeats dons The Freestylers, Krafty Kuts & DJ Icey next weekend in San Francisco and Los Angeles and I can't wait!!!!!
