To celebrate Grid 2nd anniversary, we gathered together thirteen earth-shattering tracks from the bass scene’s most promising creators, all aimed to move you in the most primordial way. Evoking images of vast landscapes and deep underground catacombs.

This compilation takes the listener deep into the earth with twisted percussion workouts from the likes of Jabes, Piezo, Ronan and Sister Zo… and back into the light with serene compositions from E-unity, Tammo Hesselink and A Psychic Yes, whilst Jay Duncan, Basile3 y Clara!, Jonny From Space, Flaty, Seekersinternational, and blu-e join the dots with their genre-defying creations.

As was the case with Grid’s previous compilations 'Improvisations' and 'Da Capo Al Coda', the label once again puts its stamp on a moment in the underground by collecting together productions of the highest quality that push the boundaries but undeniably make you want to move.

@wavesofhoney has been a notable name in the Montreal underground electronic scene for almost a decade. 
Having built her reputation in the burgeoning rave scene, she is now a revered bass music producer, DJ, and sound system builder. 
Her practice is heavily inspired by dub, reggae, and dancehall, which she hybridizes and explores to create futuristic bass music. Honeydrip has been touring her debut live performance Psychotropical which was first released Banoffee Pies Records and premiered at MUTEK Montreal. 
She continues to affiliate herself with some of the most avant-garde labels in electronic music and deepen her connection to sound system culture. 
In this mix she elegantly presents her refined bass oriented style.

@dayzero_jp hailing from Japan is our next podcast guest. He started producing music focusing on Dubstep in 2014. Currently,he is creating music with a deepened approach to his original sounds, which is influenced by music like Dub/Bass Music/Avant-garde HipHop. He also performs mainly his original music.He performs as a DJ and also delivers live sets that incorporate restructured versions of his own works combined with improvisational expression.

He has released music on labels such as "Livity Sound" "ZamZam Sounds" "Saturate Records" and "Deep,Dark&Dangerous" and has also done remixes for many artists including Truth. He has also provided and co-produced music for musicians and video works.
With the support of various DJs such as BenUFO, Peverelist, Om Unit, Al Wootton, Youngsta and Hatcha, his music has been played in clubs and DJ mixes around the world, as well as on radio broadcasts such as BBC Radio1 and RinseFM.

As a DJ, he has performed both in Japan and abroad, appearing at festivals such as The Star Festival(Japan) and Outlook Festival(Croatia).
