"Arriving into Temple, already dipped into the most sacred silence and the most daring sounds, not seeing but feeling the familiar faces and expert listeners was somehow intimidating, but also encouraging and exciting. I had prepared a hybrid live set, djing several recordings and reviewed old tracks i compiled through the year, on preparation of another live set for Mostra, and a sp404+FX full of sounds, sampled movies, sequences and patterns to fill the gaps and refill the most dance-oriented moments of the set so there could be a little more entropy and fun.

The idea was the "interruptus' vibe where full dances would be difficult but the movement and weird hand twists would arrive through extra filterings, complex pseudo beats and dub passages of the set.

The sound and gear at Espacio Perpendicular are also intimidating for those of us not used to such definition, so the experience was even more brilliant. Doing lo-fi processes into a hi-fi system is such bless.

aeternae (@aeternae-music), founder of  "substrate", is an Italian artist based in Barcelona with a strong connection two both audio and visual ways of artistic expressions. His DJ sets and productions are a unique fusion of euphoric and psychedelic techno, distinctive with his captivating and attentive sound design. Sharing the same characteristics as his productions, his  DJ sets delve deeper into the psychedelic dimension of techno, leading the dancefloor to a state of euphoria, through his precise, deliberate control over sound and energy. His approach stimulates both the mind and body, bringing out strong emotional energies.

Pianeti Sintetici ('synthetic planets' in Italian) is a new conceptual project by Davide Perrone (Primal Code) that draws inspiration from the factories of Magrathea, a planet in Douglas Adams' classic space opera The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where artificial planets are manufactured on commission.

“This concept has always fascinated me, and I chose the name to frame a hypothetical future of synthetic worlds, told with sound,' Davide says. 'I like to imagine the howls of creatures inhabiting solar systems outside our own. Rarefied atmospheres, alien sequences, and unfamiliar tonal scales. So, I see Pianeti Sintetici as an open-ended design research project where I can explore these inspirations.”

Pianeti Sintetici already has three stand out releases on the legendary Hypnus records and has played a string of mind bending shows, including this mix, which is a live set from the 2023 edition of Positive Education. Tentacular is back this week with incredibly talented, stuttgart based, producer Laima Adelaide (@amlia) 

Founder of @predawnrecords, she is also a highly skilled composer, producer, and dj with impressive musical foresight and taste, focusing on deep and ambient techno. Noisy textures, hypnotic beats and airy harmony define her very unique sound signature, both minimalist and pure, with impeccable sound design and an aesthetic close to the Bauhaus school. 

In this mix, she blends subtle frequencies and polyrhythms to evoke the imagery of a macroscopic or molecular world that blurs. This creates a merging effect between the boundaries of electronic music and natural phenomena. By combining nature's textures and organic elements, Laima orchestrates a sonic ride exploring the interplay between sound and nature.

Laima Adelaide shared a few words with her mix:

"Recently I have been inspired by fast tempo and a groove which comes in a faster BPM range. Also with a lot of futuristic sound design elements. I looked for soft and deep tracks with a subtle energy and unexpected turns. Recording the mix was like a meditation for me to listen to all the details and flow with the groove. I also feel quite fascinated by the dimensions of space and how architecture interacts with sound waves, so I picked tracks which play with different acoustics."
