At our end of the music landscape, it's rare to find anyone not deeply touched by the music of Peter Kersten, aka Lawrence. He has been traversing the electronic music scene for over 20 years, guiding the iconic Dial label and stopping off at stalwarts as varied as Smallville to Giegling, while keeping a close companionship with Japan’s Mule Musiq. The 2022 Earthshine EP under his Sten moniker is his first full length contribution to the Sushitech catalogue and sees his voyaging take on deep techno onboard some added oomph. His club sets are an absolute must and reflect his honest, emotive and quirky personality, which we are lucky enough to share with you in this interview.

A core member of De Lichting crew, Nathan debuted his new alias (changed from Nathan Surreal) with the Voltage Controlled Love Affair EP earlier this year. This summer he’s been basically everywhere, playing the trifecta of Best Kept Secret, Down the Rabbit Hole and Lowlands with some of De Lichting fam. Besides all these achievements, Nathan also debuted on SoHaSo late last year with a beautiful ambient track under his Keyeke alias.

For his contribution to our podcast series, the Amsterdam-based DJ and producer serves up a nice slice of his super dynamic mixing style, effortlessly switching between Detroit electro, house, techno, and UK bass to create a mix full of surprising twists and turns. A fun and celebratory mix indeed.

Caldera is not the only synonym of a producer originally from the Ruhrpott, who is at home in the UK. his mix for Freude am Tanzen is as varied as his work as music producer and we are very happy that he is represented on the new vinyl compilation project as well as in our podcast series.
