“Welcome to 24 hours with an alien. My name’s Katya, I’m a London based DJ originally from Russia. The idea behind the takeover is that I’m going to be taking you on a day in my UFO, to many different planets each exploring a different genre. We’ll be starting somewhere deep under the Drexciyan sea with an electro set courtesy of Gunfinger Food & Mixtress. We’ll gradually head to space for Dr Watson’s set and make it all the way to Tres-2b, the darkest planet in the universe, for eXpressO’s set. After that we’re gonna start heading back to Earth for sunrise, listening to Jake Walker’s set along the way. We’ll make it to London for a day of UK bass, Garage & Funky. Once we finish up in London, we’ll make our way back to space with Dr Baird, Seven Hills Records, Tañ & Rough. We go back to the dark planet for an industrial techno & electro finish. We stumbled across Zoe Pea at a little basement party in Bristol a few months back. Zoe was playing all night long with Jacob Amos, and the two of them completely blew us away. 

Since that party we’ve been tuning in to all of Zoe’s Noods and Narr Radio shows, and it wasn’t long until we were pestering her to record us a mix for the series. 

Zoe described this recording as scatty and rough round the edges, sounds about right! It’s also the perfect warm up for Zoe’s set at MOT on the 27th for our Red Haze party. We’re already getting giddy about the idea of hearing Zoe’s records on a system again, make sure you don’t miss her warming up the sweatbox that is Red Haze at MOT on the 27th !
