True Lovers is modern day vampires playing early 2000’s American rock with the 1980’s post-punk attitude, wearing nothing but leather and sunglasses and ‘Blessed are the lovesick’ is a sincere tribute to the eternal power of unrequited love.

”In True Lovers, the songs tend to find a mixture of the overly romantic side of the late 80’s Whitesnake combined with melancholic longing on a level of Karl Freund’s 1932 directorial masterpiece ‘The Mummy’. On the other hand some songs feast like preying vampire to unrelenting Ministryesque pounding.”

TRUE LOVERS - HEAVY TEARS

Unilateral angle of approach might suggest there’s either only little or no hope at all in what can be predicted of our future. When days of grace are long gone, profound sadness and anger towards human absurdity step forward. Then again even the most hopeless vision has a counter argument written in its paradigm. These prophetic scriptures and modern psychoanalysis from 21st century Northern hemisphere are now here put together by one-man solo effort, Heikki Hautala, titled Pyövelin Vaatteet (roughly translated as Executioners Clothes).

Hautala’s debut full-lenght represents a brute uncanny mixture of sociological stand pouring out with almost revelational - like statues of our habits and nature. Recorded in the woods of Kuru on a four tracker some years prior to its release, the themes come across eternal dilemmas of jinxed behavior and distorted values. For new soil there's need for determination. And Heikki Hautala is highly determined, with hope and despair in unison.

Heikki Hautala - Pyövelin Vaatteet is a joint-release between Future Lunch and Ektro records, set to be released January 31st 2014, available on CD and digital formats.

A Tampere-based duo Neiet begun their journey from a forgotten wooden cabin on a hill and ended up in a cold apartment house, behind locked doors, underground. A place where from the ashes of gone projects they rise.

Neiet (Maidens in Finnish countryside dialect) do not define strict goals or ways. Instead they concentrate on producing sounds with any equipment available – doing, not planning, empowered by chance. In the end the form of their self-expression is molded by realism allowing the authenticity.

Songs gathered on the tape are surrounded by guests chosen due intuitive encounters. Award winning Janne “Hzzzt” Hast on production and Reverend Bizarre -related Sami Hynninen performing guest vocals on “Unilintu”. Members of Neiet have also worked with Dxxxa D and Risto, whose Risto Ylihärsilä executed the mastering.

This release is full of supernatural, possessed atmosphere. Web woven by pulses of cold machines and multilayered human voices. After side A you will ask yourself do you dare to continue and eventually end up stepping deeper.

VALLIHAUTA - Kolonia

The root file for | was first sketched during a production meeting in a private hotel suite in 2017. A night of big fun followed a set of panic attacks next midday. Zenning, percussive moment around a white metal table assembled the trio back to one and was the only document recorded from that period.

It got later composed as a backdrop for the groups first public performances held at an Eastern Finland botanical garden and a Western Finland manor house vestibule, titled Variations for table. The two public shows came to their fulfillment later at a rural cabin performance of the same theme, overseen by nightly rainfall.
