"Emerging from a misty Florida jungle, long-time duo Alien House step in with their much-anticipated LP ‘Flora’. An album that floats along like a spiritual awakening, ‘Flora’ sits in the multiplicity of several electronic genres and stylings while maintaining a sound completely its own. Following the success of their Above EP with Image Research in 2021, their latest offering takes us even further into the depths of their flourishing sound.

Brilliantly subtle and nuanced, each track unfolds like a blossoming flower under moonlit canopies. The synth work is gentle and emotive while the percussion hits like raindrops on lush forest leaves. The spaciousness and vastness of reverb-soaked melodies and chords ease the listener into meditative states while the drum sequences keep everything grounded and pulsing. Though each piece of this album shines completely on its own, it flows as one cohesive piece from start to finish. A vision of a different time and place appears with each listen.

Secretsundaze 17th release comes from London based producer Endian. Releasing just 2 EP's in a few years on Non Plus and Electric Minds, Endian has nevertheless managed to to turn the heads of the likes of Steffi who used one of his tracks for her Panorama Bar compilation and Boddika who also licensed a track for a various artists EP. Sounding like a producer far more experienced than the two releases would indicate, it came as no surprise that this is far from the the output of a novice but the seasoned veteran George Levings aka Commix (Metalheadz). 

Endian has been a regular at secretsundaze events over the years and a friendship developed with Giles and James. The project is an outlet for him to release the more technoey and house sound that he is increasingly inspired by.
 
Lead and title track 'Finish Me' is a stone cold killer. Ballsy, raw and over driven in the mix, a tribal breakbeat groove builds before brassy stabs sneak in. The peak of the track sees dramatic pads cut through for a moment of serenity before the drums drop back in. Joy Orbison used 'Finish Me' in his Essential mix late last year and its also been a highlight of secretsundaze's sets over last 6 months. 'Techno To Finish' goes deeper with a layer of fuzzy warmth enveloping the track. Driving but definitely one for the later hours or early on with its hypnotising flow and subtle musical flourishes. Last up 'Sub Tropic' is a heads down, growling, low slung techno track with its deep sub bass. This is definitely a track you can imagine hearing in the bowels of Berghain well into Sunday daytime. 

'Finish Me' is arguably Endian's best work to date and it's another fine addition to the secretsundaze catalogue.

Following on from the 'Aset Forever' EP by label bosses Dusky, the next release on 17 Steps comes courtesy of Russian duo Formally Unknown, who've previously appeared on Moscow's Capital Bass and their own Bass Oddity imprint. Out 19th October, the 'Off Peak' EP exists somewhere near the intersection between Detroit techno, UK bass weight and the CoOp scene.

We're very happy to be premiering the title track, which mixes twitchy bleeps and thunderous bass pulses with splintered percussion and a butter-smooth breakdown. So deep you'd need a submarine to even catch a glimpse.

C12 is a multidisciplinary nightclub and platform run by the Deep in House collective, located in the heart of Brussels. It's a safe place where freedom, diversity, creativity and alternative culture are protected from the restrictive and normative outside world. The project was launched in February 2018 and includes concerts, art installations, lives, club nights and exhibitions.

The Corona crisis is keeping our doors closed and dancefloor empty for several weeks now, with no hopes yet on new line-ups and crowds of enthusiastic dancers. But this unprecedented situation isn’t holding us still. Continuing to support our local Brussels and Belgian electronic music scene, C12 is proud to announce its own label with 10 music compilations dubbed Social Distancing. All artists involved are Belgian or strongly connected to the Brussels scene. Confirmed are Le Motel, Stellar OM Source, A.Brehme, Front De Cadeaux, Davy, OCB Casa Voyager, Cabasa, Techno Thriller, Orphan Swords, Different Fountains, Bear Bones Lay Low, Gols, Hadone, ... and our residents Session 4000, Kafim & Chris Ferreira. Compilations will also be curated by female artists promoting platform ‘Psst Mlle’ and queer culture collective ‘Benediction’.

Each edition consists of a collection of several tracks and will be released every two weeks, leading to a total of approximately fifty tracks. All music will be available to add on your favorite streaming service Soundcloud, Youtube, Spotify (coming soon) and Bandcamp. In addition for each track we offer a limited amount of 500 free downloads through our Bandcamp page, where donations are also enabled for those who wish to support us and the artists involved.

The frequency of these little excursions was beginning to draw some unwanted attention, however the thrill of the ride far outweighed any concern from her. Shortly after crossing over into forbidden territory, the spotlights flipped on and the sirens began to wail. She smiled and stepped down hard on the accelerator… 

For the first time, Control Tower boss Radioactive Man and OverworX’s Ben Pest join forces for a new EP titled Old Tight Selektah. Recorded between Curve Pusher's former studio in London and a new space in the seaside town of Hastings, the result of the sessions is a four tracker of machine-driven live jams that proves these two hardware junkies are match made in heaven.
