After debuting on Emergent Shores with 'Autumn Story', Belarusian talent Jettan is back with 'Sunset', another season inspired progressive beauty. Bringing out some the warmer tones of the Spring season, Jettan's 'Sunset' is full of luscious and bright melodies that make for a warm and serene experience. Adding a bit of flair to tie up the track, Jettan manages to feature a handful of smooth guitar tones and rhythmic vocals that deliver a full, soothing morning journey.

On remix duties, Sicarios also known as veteran 'A.Squared', provides a deep progressive take on Jettan's original 'Sunset'. Since his triumphant late-2016 return to the production arena (following a 5-year hiatus), Approaching Black has released several standout EPs on our label, all of which evince a seasoned maestro at the height of his compositional powers. His latest release, the deep-flavored "Alone Again," is another wonderful addition to the Australian veteran's elegant oeuvre.

The title cut begins with a chilled groove and a sensual, late-night ambience, thanks to a variety of soothing and romantic melodic themes, not the least of which is a recurring 'alone again' vocal teaser. Near the song's midpoint, a poignant full verse delicately emerges, followed by a full-bodied bassline. Just as the listener begins to anticipate a more aggressive conclusion to the arrangement, the song once again sinks into deep-progressive bliss.

The atmosphere of the B-side cut, "At Just The Right Time," is contemplative, if not mystical. Distant vocal echoes and lyrical stabs decorate the evocative soundscape, while a super chilled deep house groove evokes a floating-on-air sensation. A gorgeous piano and string solo, backed by a chorus of crickets, highlights this breathtaking piece.
