00effort encourages diversity and promotes genre-bending electronic music, created by emerging producers from Poland and beyond 💫

After a brief appearance on one of our compilations, a Krakow-based producer Aloupe returns to 00effort with a proper debut.

“Behind The Sine” starts with Shelley’s brisk arpeggio, chopped adlibs and dreamy pads, coupled with a rhythmic pulse reminiscent of UK garage drum patterns. A warm, inviting atmosphere is carried on by Loggerhead, in which a playful bassline contrasts with a rough, staggering beat. Textured noises and rustling hi-hats come forward in Pebble Tongue, an experimental 154bpm squeaky groove, and prepare us for the grittier part of the release. Mortal Tedium challenges the listener with a scattering bassline and eerie vocals, and finally Lousse closes the release, with flute stabs weaving their way through semi-rhythmic drums.

In a debut EP that transcends genre boundaries, Seta Loto guides us through the soundscapes of 'Earth-Related System’ forthcoming on the Lyon-based label Comic Sans. With a sophisticated fusion of minimal bass, atmospheric and UK-style techno, dub and dancehall, each of the five tracks develops its own ecosystem, distorted by alterations of reality as if on psychedelics.

Delving into the concept of a sound infrastructure, the artist lays its foundation in the earth as the primary element. An intangible low-end drifts over the surface of the sound, unceasingly creating an intense, enveloping atmosphere reminiscent of tectonic shifts. Above, organic textures manipulated by cutting-edge sound design techniques and clever re-sampling work neatly share the remaining sonic environment.

Seta Loto's creations resonate with a spiritual essence, evoking an intimate relationship with the wonders of nature and rootedness to the earth.
