Dance for Relief is a project that's been on our minds for a while as a way using our music to help raise funds for causes that we are passionate about. With the world currently struggling with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic now felt like it would be the right time to get this project started.

The first project under this banner is a compilation of edits, remixes and secret weapons from various friends, with Volume 1 focusing on cosmic, tribal and trancey sounds of the 90s.

All money from this release will go straight to Direct Relief (directrelief.org), a charity who's mission is to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies, and who are doing great work to ensure that protective gear and critical care medications get to as many health workers as possible. We felt they were a particularly both in the midst of current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

Finally, we'd like to say a huge thank you to all the artists involved who have given their skills and time during a difficult period to help make this release happen in support of a worthy cause.

A Man Called Adam have announced details of a retrospective ‘mixtape’ album release. 

Love Forgotten floats, and it swings. It drifts like sand dunes and it drops like peak time underground. It’s a constant motion built from three decades worth of experiments in sound and song, a left of centre overview of one band’s career as heard in remixes, oddities, outtakes and edits. The result is a perfect flow of ambient electronics, house music and strung out Balearic mixes shot through with musicianship and sounds from all across the globe. 

Lovingly compiled by A Man Called Adam - Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones - from a vast and deep back catalogue, Love Forgotten takes pieces from every stage of their band’s journey and fuses them into a truly hypnotic whole. Reworks of classic singles sit next to commissions for the British Museum; collaborations with Idjut Boys, Sensory Productions and Ibizan legend José Padilla melt into gorgeous sunset acoustic sounds. It’s the perfect mixtape for the endless summer that’s playing out in your head.

Bristol based DJ, club promoter and producer, 
Chez de Milo, readies his debut release, and Futureboogie’s first release of 2021, with the ‘Bushwa’ EP.  Smagghe & Cross (AKA Ivan Smagghe and Rupert Cross) join the party with an epic Version of the title track.

On ‘Bushwa’, warming CR-78 drums initiate a bubbling blend of groaning pads, melodic keys and gated vocals as Chez de Milo crafts a solemn yet addictive 5am moment.  Smagghe & Cross stretch things out over ten minutes with their tantalising Version of ‘Bushwa’ that quite literally features a commercial break midway before motoring back up to chugging speed.  Cosmically charged this most definitely is!

Elsewhere on this prolific debut release, ‘Mantella’ features a smorgasbord of spacey riffs, splashy drums and idiosyncratic vocals, whilst ‘Golden Ratio’ wraps things up with an esoteric piece of bleepy, ambient house that is designed to feed your mind as much as for your feet.
