Remixer extraordinaire Eric Kupper takes a set of epic, lost recordings from 1982, that feature the cream of the crop session musicians behind the soulful Sound of Philadelphia - Earl Young (drums), Ronnie Baker (bass), Norman Harris (guitar), Lenny Pakula (organ), Larry Washington (percussion), Vince Montana, Jr. (vibes, keyboards), John Bonnie (saxophone) – along with powerhouse vocalists Joe Freeman, David Simmons, Bobby Love and Ron Tyson, and lovingly applies his own modern sheen, spinning them into ear candy for today’s listener as well as those who were there from the very beginning. These incredible remixes, which have individually been topping the charts on digital platforms, can now be had in one amazing collection that is not just a tribute to the past but a vibrant continuation of the legacy these legendary musicians helped create.

Pedram - Lex (XXXY Warehouse Jam Remix)

Founded only last year and already six releases deep, Omnidisc now uncovers the mystery curator behind the label by releasing his latest EP – Danny Daze's Miami. Danny emphasises that Omnidisc has always focused on the long game, choosing memorable music over the chart toppers. Having released music from the likes of Gunnar Haslam, Barker & Baumecker and Schmutz, and with upcoming releases by Legowelt, Tennis and more – Omnidisc is a platform for variety, while keeping a uniform sound.

The upcoming Miami EP sees Danny working with his friends (inc. Jagerverb and Kevin McPhee) as well as mastering the controls solo to provide five new tracks bouncing off the parameters of techno, electronic, house and funk. The penultimate track with Jagerverb, "Brav" works on pure hypnosis, as it orbits around itself for the 6min duration in cyclic synth rotation. One on regular repeat, easily.

Menacing kicks and robotic slurs start the track, leading you to believe it's going to be another super-dark addition to the Omnidisc ranks but then that bassline kicks in. That bouncing, flirtatious riff that takes the cut in another direction. 

Add to that some killer vocals, perfectly-placed clicks and drops that pummel and seduce at the same time and you've got a track fit for a king. 
We really rate this one and we're confident you're going to as well. Check it.
