Known for his ability to paint a scene with sound, The DJ and producer from Istanbul break into the underground scene with a dark, moody, melodic sound that pulls listeners into its depths and keeps them there.
 
The melodic intro leads into piercing modulations, industrial kicks, and rave inspired synth flutters as it gets more intense with blistering soundscapes.The track builds up to a climactic moment, then drops back into the darkness from whence it came. There are moments where the bassline drops out entirely and all you hear are synth pads playing over each other in subtle harmony. This gives way to heavier sections bursting with energy as the rhythm gets faster and faster before returning again to its original state. The climax hits hard on all levels from soaring leads to driving rhythms and the drums pulse through your body like a heartbeat.
 
While the track has moments of dancefloor intensity, it also explores slower, deeper moments in an immersive way.

Ineffable was launched with the purpose of showcasing @minstrel_music's own music as well as supporting other artists he finds inspiring.

'Welcome to the 12th edition of our ongoing Breaking New Soil series, featuring both new and established talent once again. First up is our good friend Harvey McKay, who graced the label last year with his seminal Forest EP - his new track Borderline is another trademark Harvey production, guaranteed to set dancefloors on fire! Next up we have Phyrgian from Colombia. Gregor played his track Tarot" in almost every set last year, so we are very happy to have him on board with Mansalva, another über-hypnotic Techno excursion - imagine to hear this at a dark, packed warehouse rave - pure fire! Next up are Mario Hammer and The Lonely Robot - known for their eclectic releases on Traum and Cocoon. They handed in 13 degrees, remixed by Harald Björk. It´s one of those tracks that - when dropped at the right moment, will take dancers on a journey and leave them with a smile on their faces. Last but not least we are very happy to have some original music by Lad, who is know in the business as one of the finest mastering engineers. Hailing from Geneva, he surprised us with this phenomenal techno track, that takes no prisoners but will start a riot on the dancefloors for sure. This is Breaking New Soil!'

Premiere: Harvey McKay - Borderline [Break New Soil]

We are very delighted to welcome back our good friend VNTM (@vntmofficial) on the label. After three remixes it got time for this impressive EP, which contains the long-awaited title track ‘Occulent’ together with two other originals and two great remixes. The first remix comes from the acclaimed Italian duo Hunter/Game (@hunter-game) and the other one comes from the very talented and rising French artist Paul Roux(@paulrouxmusic).

The EP starts off with the title track ‘Occulent’, which could be seen as fast-paced melodic techno. A sound made signature by VNTM. The track has a driving and powerful lower end, accompanied by bright atmospheric elements. Throughout the arrangement, some emotional synthwork comes through, leading towards the moment where the track is all about that sharp synth.

In their interpretation of ‘Occulent’, Hunter/Game took that emotional part of the original track and spread it across their melodic focused remix, which makes the track more dreamy and mystical. It feels like you are drifting in between the elements of the original. On the other hand, the drums and percussion are giving a more propulsive feeling to the remix.

Next up is ‘Momentum’. This track gives the EP more depth and contains a lot of widespread repetitive details. The combination of these crispy details and atmospheric pads are creating a hypnotic environment, which gets more intense as new layers unfold themselves.

Paul Roux turned up the tempo in his remix of ‘Momentum’, but this doesn’t make the remix just a heavier version of the original. It’s the opposite, as a result of its soft kick, rhythmic percussion and astral soundscape. This composition is like a new world opening up right in front of you, guided by its sophisticated piano melody.

Contrarily to Paul his remix, the final track of the EP, titled ‘Rage Quit’, is representing the heavier side of the EP and has been a part of VNTM’s live-set for quite some time. It’s the most techno orientated track with a long-stretched arrangement, created for non-stop movement of a crowd.

“Render”, an atmospheric banger in which the delicate arpeggio’s keep pushing you forward. The shimmering lead gives this track a very unique soundscape. The break really pulls you in deep, only to drop you right back into the action at the climax.
