BR011 Devoteex - Narcotism EP 

The Italian duo Devoteex put together four original and powerful tracks to create the 'Narcotism EP', eleventh release of Black Rose Recordings.
The EP starts off with 'Balena', characterized by deep melodic progressions of resonant pads and drums that grow up to the drop. Here the song explode and is highlighted by a beautifully evolving synth line throughout.
Next is the track 'Proximus'. a beautiful combination of industrial sounds, strong melodies and hypnotic drums. It takes you on a journey and keeps your ear hooked.
The third piece of music is 'Green Hornet' and is probably the toughest track on the EP. The strong rhythm part of the track is combined with a deep and dark sound design and the overall result is a very pulsating piece.
Rounding out the EP is Devoteex's latest original offering, 'Esperanza'. Rhythmically lively, the track is the perfect balance of fiery percussion and kaleidoscopic synths. The heavy baseline pulls the track together and puts an appropriate and emotional conclusion to the EP.

Devoteex - Balena

Black Rose's thirteen EP comes from emerging talent Dario Gismondi, and is truly a melodic masterpiece. He provided four great originals and we're sure they'll hit you on first listen.

The first track is the title track of the EP and is called “Atlantis”.
it is a journey that begins with an hypnotic arp and a solid bass line, and then continue with ethereal breaks that precede explosions of enerygies and melodies.

Second one is “Kraken” and carries a darker mood. This track combines heavy kick and techno drums with strong and very well designed synths and all works towards one impressive moment, where it all bursts apart.

The next song is “Oblio” and represents the perfect balance of the style of this EP, bright melodies and decisive rhythms take you on a mystical and pleasant journey.

The final track of this collection is “Shadows In The Dark” a real gem. It starts with a progressive intro and then comes the main synth witch is a rare example of original sound design.
This piece of music gives an impactful ending to the “Atlantis” EP.

Rounding out the month of May, Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Amir Telem back to the label for his debut EP. Famed for releases via EIN2, Harabe, Kindisch and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Israeli artist Amir Telem has continued to delight fans with his unique take on organic house and melodic house and techno. His spiritual creations have also found a place on Movement Recordings, with two appearances on the label's popular 'Technical Progress' series. Now returning to Movement for his first and much anticipated EP, Amir unveils 'Goloka', alongside remixes from Ruben Karapetyan and Da Luka and Jorgio Kioris.

Drawing on a variety of cross-cultural concepts, the EP begins with 'Goloka'. On a backbone of warm beats comes mounds of perfectly contoured bass and a lively percussive cadence. Fluid and buoyant in equal measure, vibrant arps and ethno-vocals descend over the framework, as soulful instrumentation and timely effects unite in a perfect sonic marriage. The narrative shifts as emotive chord changes initiate the main break, with buzzing sonics and prayer-like phrasing gently rising towards a spirited finale. The companion piece 'Valor' continues the astral techno vibes of its predecessor. As the journey commences, striking chord stabs and mystical vocals sit atop a machine gun style groove and rolling rhythms. Percolating effects and timely drops elevate mood as the first act evolves, perfectly setting the stage for a devilish break. Furthering its dramatic appeal, the centrepiece melts down to warm bass swells and diabolical electronics, expertly elevating towards an understated drop, as the groove gallops towards a stirring final movement
