I made this track after my 2014 performance art piece “A Vogue For Freedom” inserting my love of negro spirituals, gospel and protest chants over the ha; in this case, over Byrell The Fake’s “AMERIKA (TOOL).” 

O’Shae Sibley (Sage Dumure Versailles) was murdered in front of people he loved and protected in what is an egregious hate crime on the basis of sexuality and race. Black queer and trans people are under attack and this is a war cry to commemorate the action planned today where members of the House and Ballroom Community will assemble a ball at the site of his murder.
