Time has come for Futurepast to release a long format album : Alarm Phase Red will be the first full-length work from Futurepast founder Davy Vandegaer, appearing here under a new name: Brainwashed Today. Rooted in a conceptual approach of electronic music, this double LP ranges from industrial ambient to experimental techno.

Like an antidote to a twisted reality of controlled screens and mental isolation, Alarm Phase Red uses the raw language of electricity to reach the core of the machine and sabotage it, reverse its effects by mirroring them. Fighting fire with fire, deflecting the pressure and strain of a world driven by fear and anger, the music of Brainwashed Today acts like a cathartic escape from technological enslavement.

With the purchase of the vinyl comes a batch of three digital bonus tracks pursuing further the sound research of the album.

From Matterwave Records, we want to report our rejection of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but also of all the wars that are happening in the world right now. 
When the invasion started we tried to find a way to help these people with our project, we thought maybe making a multi-artist compilation was a good way to help as much as possible. 
We want to thank the artists and engineers who have collaborated in this task with their music and contributions, as well as the number of labels / artists who are supporting on their own.

Human beings forget certain things when time passes or when the TV, Radio, Newspaper tells us things that really matter to them, after a month of this senseless war, please, keep donating.

As an artist he has more than 25 releases on his track record on labels like Bunker, Strange Life, Pinkman, New York Haunted, Minimal Rome and many others. Always eclectic, ranging from electro, minimal wave, techno, dark ambient and drones. Melancholic at times.
His weekly show SEER on the epochal Intergalactic FM has brought kaleidoscopic music into the scene. Also he has residencies at Operator and Mutant.
Being full of contradictions (sophisticated yet raw, apocalyptic yet celestial), his sets guarantee originality, stormy and dessonant melodic mania. Music for the Universe!

Originally from Nashville via Cleveland, he has been DJing and producing for 9 years, with releases on labels such as ITU, DKA, Sons of Traders and Atrophy Records. His productions see a marriage between House and Techno, with his own eerie, synth-driven trademark. Jaundice also co-runs the imprint Tram Planet Records with Asheville-based DZee. 

An hour of grit, hard drums and big synths. We really like this one.

Most notably Gavin supported The Prodigy on their European tour in cities such as Berlin, Hanover, Prague and Luxembourg in 2015-2016. Yosuke Ikeda aka AE35 is an Electro DJ / Producer in Tokyo, Japan.
In 2000 he started an event with his partners called “Tokyo Electro Beat Park”. Then he launched an electro label “Tokyo Electro Beat Recordings”, released some compilations. In 2007, he released his first EP “Electric Sunrise E.P.” from Fdb Recordings. His “Underdrain EP” was chosen as 2nd out of 5 in Dave Clarke’s Electro Top 5 Nov 2013. 
In 2014, he left “Tokyo Electro Beat Park” and launched new electro label named "Anti Gravity Device".
His massive-electro style is regarded highly both at home and abroad. He is making electro-machine-beats from the land of rising sun to the world.

Strange But Dance Music #119: AE35

Thanks to Xavier from DDD Records in Paris we have what may be one of the only interviews ever conducted with cult engineer and producer from the infamous Head Studios in Chicago L.I.A.M.

Alongside with his partner Marcus Mixx they produced what are now some of the most sought after records in the history of Chicago House music on labels like Missing Dog, Saber, Get Wet and Sweat, Under Dog, Percision, and Streetfire among others.

We now find L.I.A.M. living here in Paris, Xavier tracked him down to tell his story...so sit back relax and check out two hours of amazing stories about MIDI, programming beats and PARTYING in the studio.

I met L.I.A.M. in 2012 thanks to a Marcus Mixx post stating that he was living in Paris. We had a drink together and he told me his story about his journey in the world of House music. Later I invited him to La Source Record shop to conduct an official interview with hopes of eventually sharing it with the public in some form. 
Alot of time went by since the initial interview and I felt a transription to paper would really miss the sound and energy of L.I.A.M.'s unique voice. 
Thus, we finally set up this interview on Rinse France with myself, L.I.A.M. and Chicago House obsessive, Jean Nipon there in support to further help conduct the interview. 

We thank L.I.A.M. greatly for sharing his story, granting us this interview and painting a picture of a magical time in the history of Chicago House music.
