Time has come for Futurepast to release a long format album : Alarm Phase Red will be the first full-length work from Futurepast founder Davy Vandegaer, appearing here under a new name: Brainwashed Today. Rooted in a conceptual approach of electronic music, this double LP ranges from industrial ambient to experimental techno.

Like an antidote to a twisted reality of controlled screens and mental isolation, Alarm Phase Red uses the raw language of electricity to reach the core of the machine and sabotage it, reverse its effects by mirroring them. Fighting fire with fire, deflecting the pressure and strain of a world driven by fear and anger, the music of Brainwashed Today acts like a cathartic escape from technological enslavement.

With the purchase of the vinyl comes a batch of three digital bonus tracks pursuing further the sound research of the album.

From Matterwave Records, we want to report our rejection of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but also of all the wars that are happening in the world right now. 
When the invasion started we tried to find a way to help these people with our project, we thought maybe making a multi-artist compilation was a good way to help as much as possible. 
We want to thank the artists and engineers who have collaborated in this task with their music and contributions, as well as the number of labels / artists who are supporting on their own.

Human beings forget certain things when time passes or when the TV, Radio, Newspaper tells us things that really matter to them, after a month of this senseless war, please, keep donating. 

All proceeds (with deduction of Bandcamp fee) will be donated to refugees through the "Choose Love" organization.

"Born in the early 80s, she began to show from an early age an unusual preference for the dark and abrupt sounds of bands like Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Front 242, DAF, Nitzer Ebb or And One, influences driven by the music played in legendary Madrid venues like Elanuet 80s Bar or the legendary Specka Club, which led her to delve into post-punk, darkwave or EBM, genres that would lay the foundations of her identity as a selector. In her sessions, defined by a natural instinct to establish unfathomable synergies between different styles, we can find Electro, Techno and EBM both old and new; genres with which she shapes a unique, personal and absolutely unpredictable soundscape".

Sergio Bravo, aka Yūko, is a Spanish DJ who started spinning records in 1999, with Detroit and British Techno as his primary influences. He added Spanish productions and explored other genres like Electro and Breaks, especially living in London in 2010, and then joined the Fluid collective to later found New North Records in 2014, which focuses on Electro, Techno, and Downtempo. The main vocation of this mix will be to pay a sincere and heartfelt tribute to the pioneers of the early 1990s, from the first scene and generation of creators, artists and producers of the Bleep sound and pioneers of Braindance and IDM from labels such as Warp Records, Rephlex, Planet Mu and Skam Records. This was originally sent to us as a 4 hour plus set and we have selected an excerpt of it with Luis' permission. It truly is a beautiful journey.
