We are serious about our music here at Future Reactions. You can tell that from our first vinyl release, the Depth Sifters EP. Featuring cult producer Rick Wade, Detroit veteran Norm Talley, up-and-coming newcomer Cris J and the talent that is Satore, we think it is quite an introduction. It is Cris J, however, who has the honour of leading the way with Around Philly, a sumptuously soulful slab of deepness steeped in the traditions of house music, just the way we like it. Remember the name. Wade, by contrast, has long since made his name on the back of an endless list of must-have releases for the likes of Track Mode, Moods & Grooves and his own imprint Harmonie Park. He’s in fine fettle here too with Clizias Theme, a cut imbued with the kind of genuine emotional content and quality we have come to expect from the man. Norm Talley’s brand of beatdown and house has long been a favourite with collectors and connoisseurs alike. His handsome contribution here, Str8 Housin, is exactly that and some, owing much to the musical heritage of his home city. Young Spanish artist Satore, meanwhile, completes the line-up and continues to impress yet again with the infectious and supremely funky Moodment (Upstreet Mix).

Innovator is a pretty strong word but we believe it really is the only one that will do as we at Future Reactions very proudly present the one and only Boo Williams. Born and bred in Chicago and inspired by house music‘s true greats - we’re talking Larry Heard, Lil’ Louis, Marshall Jefferson and co., of course - Williams has already enjoyed a long and illustrious career as both a DJ and producer with numerous essential and seminal releases for some of the underground’s most distinguished labels; Relief Records, Ovum and Track Mode to name but three. Now we warmly welcome him to our stable with his Spiritually Runnin EP featuring the eponymous title track and Last Chance, two cuts of beauteous, textured, soul-warming house music that are proper deep too. Just the way we love it.

Space is most definitely the place as far as the latest vinyl adventure from us here at Future Reactions is concerned. With galactic references aplenty, futuristic soundscapes and more than a hint of interstellar travel on the Analog Core EP, the only thing missing is an astronaut suit.

Manning the controls of this otherworldly craft is José Rico, a key figure in theMadrid underground scene through his associations with the Downbeat and Freebeat labels, who blasts off with the raw emotional electronica of Orion.

That man Rico also features alongside the much-vaunted Leonid (Dolly/Sistrum/Statik Entertainment) under their joint studio guise of Cygnuss. Having made their debut on Freebeat earlier this year with the well-received long player Night Drive, the duo are on a mission here to warm-up the dance-floor with their house-not-house rocket Journey To Outertape.

Hailing from Buenos Aires but with a sensibility rooted in Chicago and Detroit, Diego Perrisson caught the attention of the more discerning ears as co-owner of the short-lived but not-forgotten label Monochromatic. Turning heads once again with his new venture, Fundamental Sounds, Perrisson captains a smooth touchdown with the cultured deepness of Restless Ride.

If one record could sum up exactly what we are about here at Future Reactions then this is that record. Inspired by the very best of house music from the past yet perfectly programmed for the present and beyond, the 1988 EP is the perfect addition to our label and its producer, Byron The Aquarius, a most welcome newcomer to our family. The American producer’s love of melody and harmony courses throughout this five-track EP, from the underground vibes of Do It Just Like U to the electro-soul of Feel Like Making Love, from the pure soul of Full Moon(featuring MDMA) to the joyful house of Sun Of God (Detroit mix) and culminating in the atmospheric beauty of Where Is The Love (Reprise) 91.
