Jazz is like a vehicle of sound that move through space and time with musicians as sonauts (sound astronauts). What if Armstrong used Jazz to move through spaces in his life, through history and through the materialities of his horn and the earth?

The word poetry's root means a creation or invention, pile up of things, collection or form. In a way, a poem is like a collage or patchwork of various elements. Louis also was a collage artist and his approach to reel tape recording was like the precursor to mixtapes.

Armstrong sang the song What A Wonderful World, displaying his feeling of interconnection with the world. This interconnection is seen in his relationships like with Lil' Hardin and with music from all over the world.

Louis often appeared like a trickster or clown figure in his career and was once crowned the King of the Zulus in the Mardi Gras parade. His life was a series of masks and masquerades.

Louis Armstrong was called Okuka Lokole in the Congo, which was said on the Louis Armstrong House Museum's website to mean a wizard whose voice sounds like the ringing of bells. Bells are in the musical family of idiophones and ideophones are words that mimic sensory experiences like sounds aka onomatopoeia.
