[Behind The Track]

Welcome to the sixtieth-second release of Launch Records. This time we have a new track by Braunfufel, called ‘Friend’.

The song starts immediately with a vocal together with some chords. This vocal is about a friendship whereby the girl wants to be more than friends as the boy want. The girl loves the boy but the boy doesn’t feel the same. The girl tries to get a relationship but nevertheless, the boy is putting the girl in a friendship. Hereby the vocal is supported by some atmospheric background sounds. In between several chords, a small melody is added to get a smooth transition between the chords. These chords themselves follow the vocal. After a while, a second chord line is added, which plays in the front of the track. The first chord line plays in the background. After a while, a drum loop with an uplifting rhythm is added. This is the build-up of the track.

When the drop hits, the track is transforming into a house track with deep house elements in it. In this drop, you hear the same chords which were used at the beginning of the track but now they have a faster rhythm. Hereby added is a melody line that has the same rhythm as the chords. To give more body to the drop, a baseline is added in the background which has a slightly different rhythm as the chords and melody line. To give more variation to the drop a drum is added in the background as well. Hereby all sounds which are used are self-designed.

All these aspects which are used in the track make the track a real Launch release. We are very happy to have a second release together with Braunfufel who has developed a really unique vibe in his tracks.
