‘Delirium’ was the fifth LP from cult psych/post-punk outfit The Underground Youth, who formed in 2008 and are currently based in Berlin. Originally released in 2011 London-based imprint Fuzz Club are reflecting on the bands extensive back-catalogue and repressing the 12” with a brand new CD reissue. ’Delirium’ harks back to The Underground Youth’s earlier psychedelic sound, offering minimalistic and bluesy psychedelia at its best. The album is an unapologetic ode to Craig’s musical heroes, dining on an influence from the likes of Spacemen 3, The Velvet Underground and BJM in its haunting psych instrumentals and beautifully crafted vocals and lyricism that fall somewhere between Bob Dylan and Ian Curtis. Russos’ live session encapsulates their incredible droning psychedelia at its most raw and industrial, the live analogue recording allowing the band to shine in all their noisy glory. 

Offering four dark, experimental soundscapes that are structured by an array of effects and loops; the swathes of celestial noise and howling feedback underpinned by driving, monolithic Neu!-esque rhythms, hypnotic droning guitars a la Spacemen 3 and atonal, reverb-soaked vocals bringing to mind Mark E Smith on a ton of acid

Nicholas Wood is a Berlin-based musician who’s best known for making up one-half of The KVB – their dark, synth-driven post-punk seeing them earn widespread praise across the globe. Following a break in The KVB’s busy touring schedule, Nick spent the last summer working on a solo album under the moniker ‘Saccades’ and Fuzz Club Records are delighted to have signed the project for its self-titled debut, officially released July 28th.

These new tracks mark a distinct difference from Nick’s other musical endeavours, ditching the dark, post-punk synths for a dive into wholesome and totally immersive psychedelic pop. He explains that “the solo stuff I was making for the last couple of years had mainly been dark, experimental electronic stuff, but I started to grow tired of making that kind of music and I just had this urge to make something more song-based and ‘classic’ sounding”.

Next up in the Fuzz Club Session series is Austin’s Holy Wave! Following the release of their 2016 LP ‘Freaks Of Nurture’ we invited the band to London to lay down a session. Despite still being steeped in a 60s Nuggets nostalgia the material on the session see’s Holy Wave ditch the Seeds-esque garage for a more washed out, reverberating psych-pop sound. The warm analogue recording creating a blissed-out echo chamber of sun-soaked psychedelia – recorded straight to tape and committed to the wax.

Spirit Valley are an Amsterdam-based duo and the latest addition to the ever-growing Fuzz Club family. Their second LP ‘Negatives’ will be released August 4th and see’s their pulsing dance-floor-ready psychedelia blur the line between the dark fuzz of The Black Angels or Dead Skeletons and the post-punk/new wave croons of Interpol and The Chameleons.

Fuzz Club Session: RMFTM - Splendour Of The Wicked

JuJu is the brainchild of Sicilian multi-instrumentalist Gioele Valenti (Lay Llamas, Herself). Following on from the projects 2016 debut – widely hailed as one of the best, most innovative psych albums of the year – Valenti has signed to Fuzz Club for the release of sophomore LP ‘Our Mother Was A Plant’, released September 22nd. Carrying on in its predecessor’s footsteps, the new LP is a continuation of JuJu’s ritualistic sonic exploration into the cultural implications of the current refugee crisis, humanities increasingly strained relationship with Mother Earth and neo-pagan mythology.


Even more forward-thinking and adventurous than the last, the new album summons all kinds of spirits with its rhythmic, otherworldly psychedelia – changing the game, once again. Calling it just a ‘psych’ record would be an injustice though, JuJu’s shamanic mantras are influenced just as much by afrobeat, krautrock, glam, post-punk, art rock, drone and everything in between. As The Quietus put it: “Along comes an artist who resets the coordinates and makes the past seem startling new again”

It’s easy to guess Acid Baby Jesus’ shtick just going on their name but to those who aren’t already in the know: don’t be fooled into thinking these are just another quasi-religious, LSD-loving psych-rock band - there’s a reason these Greek garage-rockers have been championed so highly in the European scene. Acid Baby Jesus are less concerned with the spiritual and tripped-out realms that their name foreshadows than they are with pure hip-shaking, rock’n’roll hedonism.

Formed in Athens in 2009 the four-piece have two LPs behind them, ‘LP’ and ‘Selected Recordings’, and after a long three-year wait they’re back with their third album ‘Lilac Days’ – their first on Fuzz Club Records. The album sees ABJ at their best; their frenetic garage-rock distilling a hazy mix of 60s Western psychedelic pop, traditional Eastern folk and the scuzzy R'n'R sounds of The Stooges or Brian Jonestown Massacre.

Vuelveteloca are a Chilean psych-rock outfit who formed over a decade ago in Santiago and since then have been busy picking up a notorious reputation amongst the ranks of fellow South American noiseniks Follakzoid and The Holydrug Couple for their incredible live show. In their lengthy career, the project has been comprised of a number of different members but has always revolved around the vastly creative minds of its two core members, Tomas Olivos and Marcos De Iruarrizaga.

With four LP’s now behind them, Vuelveteloca are teaming up with Fuzz Club Records for the release of their incredible fifth album, Sonora. The record is nine tracks of ferocious (8 tracks on vinyl with 9 downloadable tracks), rhythmic psychedelia that sounds like a relentlessly motorik mix of Black Sabbath’s doomy stoner rock and the kinetic psychedelic rhythms of modern bands like Kikagaku Moyo or King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
