Christian Berghoff and Sebastian Haas are two lifelong friends from Saarbrucken, Germany who back in 2007 formed the band Pretty Lightning. The duo tick off a long list of influences – from 60s psych and delta blues through to krautrock and drone – and the end-product is a heady dose of raw, twisted psychedelic blues recalling an utterly visceral mix of Oh Sees, Wooden Shjips and early Black Keys. 

Fast-forward ten years and the German two-piece have two highly-praised LPs behind them and are now gearing up for their third effort, 'The Rhythm Of Ooze' – due for release November 10th on Fuzz Club Records. Their latest long-player sees them dive even further down the rabbit-hole of stomping garage-rock blues and dizzying motoric drones. This is Pretty Lightning at their best - a head-heavy trip through their lysergic, rock'n'roll prowess.

Citing influences of everything from 60s psychedelia, delta blues, krautrock, drone to the minimalistic compositions of Terry Riley – Pretty Lightning’s raw, twisted psychedelic-blues is completely out of this world, like a ferociously tripped-out mix of Wooden Shjips and Amon Duul II.
 
Some two years on from their last album ‘A Magic Lane Of Light And Rain’, Fuzz Club Records have signed the duo for the release of their third LP ‘The Rhythms of Ooze’, due November 10th. Their latest effort is an incredible collection of tracks that see’s the duo focus even more on their ever-evolving, mind-blowing rhythms and unremitting krautrock grooves.
 
With the announcement, Christian and Sebastian are sharing the stomping, fuzzed-out mantra of lead single 'Willow Valley Blues' - a primal and scuzzy call-to-arms that doesn’t take its foot off the accelerator for the second. Propelled by marching drums, fuzzy bluesy guitars and crackly garage-rock howls, 'Willow Valley Blues' sounds like a visceral and heady mix of Ty Segall, Moon Duo and early The Black Keys, you know, when they were good.
