Deep and dirty beats here - just how I like them when I am in the mix with the finest fresh underground drum and bass rollers.
Plenty of double drops in the mix, drum and bass is great for this, when two tunes both drop and compliment each other creating a new tune that is bigger than the sum of it's parts. Well I think so anyway :) Let's go!

This week I did a big playlist refresh, adding a whole bunch of new music I wanted to play on the stream. It was a cool balance of different vibes, Some deep and rolling stuff, some more bouncy bassline dub kinda vibes, vocal steppers, tech rollers, atmospheric uplifting stuff... Lots of things made it into the mix as I tried my best to have it all make sense somehow. Trying to connect some dots while maintaining the groove

Liquid Lovers Lounge (EP78|NOV12|2022)

Sometimes I feel like I want to change up the way I approach LLL as a way to keep things interesting for both the listeners and myself. I went on a deep dive into my DNB collection for tunes that fell through the cracks, but also just music that I like but for some reason was never able to fit into the mix. Armed with my newly refreshed playlists I was able to coast pretty easily through a pretty interesting first hour. Lots of atmospheric and deep beats, some jazzy stuff and lush orchestral sounding things. Midway through I move into some chunky amens and jungle type sounds before moving things into more familiar territory for me. Dirty minimal tech rollers and other darker fare in the second hour. Old and new LLL regulars were repping, and we even made a few new friends. Great vibe in the chat as per usual. Big up all crew.

Just someone who has a love for Breaks (almost all breaks but specifically Florida and Louisiana Breaks and Vocal Breaks)...Electro...Trance...Drum&Bass...Dub (the original Dub that was around the Tampa scene from the 90's and early 2000's...not the new Dub that these kids think is the shit)...Trip-Hop...E-Hop...and a few others. Was HEAVILY involved (to put it lightly...no pun intended but pun intended) in the Tampa/Orlando scene from the late 80's thru around 2007 or so...until the scene changed or was forced to change...but this shit is in my blood!!! I guess like they say...Blood in...Blood out!!! Had an iconic and well known house in South Tampa that was called "The House On Stilts"...it was the only house in the subdivision that was up on stilts like a beach house. And if you were in the scene...odds are you've swung thru at some point for one or more of the parties...Lol!!! If so...hit me up and tell me about it...I love hearing the stories because MAN O' FUCKING MAN...THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!! Best times of my life...and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat...I mean breakbeat!!!
