My whole idea for this song was to make something like my favorite bond song "Nobody Does It Better". I mean c'mon, "Skyfall" is incredible, but "The Spy Who Loved Me" is absolutely iconic. My favorite bond songs are the ones that aren't too literal. I mean, "Goldfinger" is incredible, but it's great for a different reason. So the lyrics were really fun to write for this because like some of the best bits in "Santa Claus PI" they are completely serious and I think are pretty nice. One of my favorite parts in the play is when we delve into Red's psyche, and I think this song is another example of how crippled he is inside, despite his outer strength and conviction. Alie Gibbons sings this song wonderfully, and fun fact, she is an incredible writer and wrote some of Red's best lines in the audioplay, but is utterly terrified of Santa Claus I reminded her about this as she was singing a love song to him. Although to be specific it is a real taboo for me in "Santa Claus PI" to ever use the name "Santa Claus". After all Red is so different from the man he use to be that he is basically a different person anyway.


Red Dreams

This is the 7th studio album by Joy Shannon, called "Aes Sídhe" which means people of the otherworld in Irish. The songs are inspired by the Celtic and Nordic mythologies about the afterlife. Also included is a song about the Grey Havens, the elvish afterlife as imagined by Tolkien.
