I'm hugely in love with the sound of this bass and pedal as a combination - so much clarity, aggression and power. I recorded the main riff from "Icarus Lives!" and overlaid it over the album track to demonstrate.

Axe FX 2XL+ Squeal Issue

Unfinished cover of one of my favorite songs! I'm not finished tracking but wanted to post progress. This version has all the guitar tracking finished, added claps in unison with snare, and mixed and slightly processed the drums

I'll post a fully mixed and finished version when I finish it, I just wanted to post progress so far.

Had a jam around with the Dæmoness 7 string this afternoon, it's a fun guitar to play slower stuff like this on.

Heavy Groove idea

Trying to get some of Nick's magic tone with the Axe-FX. This was not tone-matched, just dialed in over time by ear. I'm also using the DigiTech Drop pedal to bring my guitar down a half-step to match the song.

Here's a very repetitive clip of the Bare Knuckle Emerald bridge pickup I now have installed in my Dæmoness Cimmerian 7-string. I absolutely love this pickup! Tight like a ceramic pickup, but much smoother in the extreme highs, super clear, and sounds huge!
This is only double-tracked by the way. The equipment is the usual Axe-FX/Toontrack/Trilian.

BKP Emerald 7 test

Just a rough mix of a new song idea I came up with last night. I know there are elements reminiscent of Tool at times. 

Drums are programmed using EZ Drummer. Most of the song is in 6/8 with the bridge being in a weird 12/8.

Guitar is an Ernie Ball Music Man JP6 using Axe FX.
Bass is a Squire P-Bass using Axe FX with a weird "crystal" reverb that helps in adding texture.
