Gary McDonald’s EP Summer Progress contains one original track and 2 remixes from Peter De Leon and Twenty Three.  It captures you in its old school night drive feeling. How would you describe that vintage sound? It sure is very hard because Gary McDonald’s EP will make you speechless. He has achieved that old school sound while maintaining a modern professional quality. A perfect EP for your night drive or midnight strolls through town. You can’t help but visualize distant city lights in the background. Overall the track is very calm and soothing – it’s like a vintage progressive tune. It contains many different elements and is packed with harmonies.

Faster BPM but still that old school sound – you have found Peter De Leon’s remix of Summer Progress by Gary McDonald. A more “House-y” sound to it but possibly more like 80s house. The breakdown takes entrance with ease and is very calming while it builds up towards a drop. A magnificent job by Peter De Leon – he has kept the feel of the track while he has made his own version of it.

Starting off with a plucky synth building up - Twenty Three’s remix is already interesting and driving. Like pieces from a puzzle – it all makes sense as the pad synths kicks in. It starts building up and an interesting kick pattern starts going until a second buildup where it goes to a four-by-four pattern again. It captures your ears as you start to speculate what you think will start next and the outcome is astonishing.  Suddenly a breakdown containing mystic pianos and a proggy synth building up takes part followed by a drop. Twenty Three is driving this track in the right direction throughout the whole track – keeping it interesting and unique.

Four3Four is an electronic music duo based out of Central Florida. Tyler Schauman (Thai) and James Rouse (r0us3) met at Full Sail University while studying Recording Arts in the Bachelor's Degree program. Both Tyler and James have a passion that borders obsession for sound design. Whether it's creating sounds for music, video games, or film, the duo are constantly trying to push the boundaries and come up with things that are new and innovative with their sound to entertain as well as inspire. These two have both had an extensive background in the electronic music scene from separate ends of the United States; Jim, coming from Grand Rapids, Michigan and Thai, from Melbourne Beach, Florida. Despite the 1200-mile distance for most of their lives, their styles have come together quickly to form a truly dynamic combination in the realm of electronic music. Description:


Miroslav Vrlik is a talented Slovakian producer who's no stranger to Fuzzy Recordings, with two remixes and a single already released on the label. His latest tune Gravity Rush is a very energetic track with lots of very trancy elements and it could very easily be used as a peak time banger in a club setting. The track also has a very beautiful piano melody and the vocal chops add a nice finishing touch to an already amazing track. The BXT Remix takes the trancy elements of the original and pushes them to a whole new level. It is easily the most energetic version on this release but it still manages to retain the beauty of the original. The higher tempo also makes this remix an excellent choice for a trance set. Reiklavik has really made this track his own by adding a distinctive, more chilled-out and housy vibe to it in his remix. The added guitars and percussion make it sound very balearic and give this remix that certain summery vibe. This remix would be a great track to play at beach parties or just whenever you want to create a relaxed mood in your set.

The compilation starts from the deep end with “Symphonia” by Static Bloom, a track that has that certain summer night vibe to it. The heavily delayed plucks and the guitar towards the end create a lovely atmosphere that is completed with the subtle piano melodies scattered here and there.

Nicolas Agudelo & Gux Jimenez - Once Again (Original Mix)

“Once Again” takes it up just a notch while staying strongly on the groovier side of things. The electric guitar in this tune really makes it stand out, with the rest of the track supporting it perfectly. The breakbeat in the middle also adds a nice touch.

Mark & Lukas - Rainbow Around The World (Original Mix)

“Rainbow Around The World” is one of those tunes that should be next to the dictionary definition of happiness. A true feel good progressive track with a plucky chord progression that will force a smile on your face even on the rainiest of days. After all, without some rain there could not be a rainbow.

DJ Geri - Strings (Original Mix)

“Strings” is more of an easy going progressive tune that treats you with its beautiful piano melodies, lovely plucks and of course some lush strings. The chord progression in this track is constructed in a way that leaves you in anticipation, which makes this a great track to play somewhere in the middle of your set, resolving it with the next tune.

Melih Kor - Leaves (Original Mix)

“Leaves” is a track with big emotions. This tune takes you on a journey that is full of longing and bittersweetness, with a glimmer of hope remaining. The melody of it touches the heart and will most likely leave nobody cold. The piano along with the sounds of rain in the break gives it a true feeling of sadness with the plucky lead building it up into embracing the feeling before eventually fading into acceptance.

Bee Hunter - Ionized (Original Mix)

Bee Hunter wipes away the tears you might have gotten in your eye from the previous track with his track “Ionized”. His careful attention to detail in designing each sound to fit his chosen theme make this a very enjoyable listening experience. The chord pluck is the driving force in this track but it leaves just enough room for all the occasional small pieces of melody in order to make this a great tune.

DJ Massymo Tn - Far Away (Original Mix)

DJ Massymo Tn truly takes you far away with this track that’s driving and uptempo, yet still very atmospheric and beautiful and almost otherwordly at times. “Far Away” paints a slowly evolving soundscape in a classic progressive fashion and gives you chills down your spine. The short breakbeat parts in this tune are also a positive surprise, since you don’t hear them in too many tracks these days, although it’s a happy coincidence that in this compilation we hear it twice.

EmLab - River Lab (Original Mix)

“River Lab” puts us back in the deeper realm with a slight twist. The track has a very dark vibe to it and the flute patterns make it sound eerily strange but wonderful at the same time, fueling the imagination with images of undiscovered places deep in the forests. 

Furkan Senol - Loving Memories (Original Mix)

Furkan Senol leaves us with some loving memories with the last track in this compilation. “Loving Memories” is a beautiful progressive trancer with an emotional melody and some driving saw chords. It uses the tried and true method of introducing a piano in the break and then building it up into something massive with the saws. Reintroducing the piano later in the track then gives some much anticipated closure before wrapping the track up.

Having already made his name known on the Fuzzy roster on a few occasions, it’s now time for Bee Hunter’s first two track EP on Fuzzy80s. This release has a very summery vibe to it and as can be expected from Bee Hunter, the quality is top notch.

Shine

The title track of this EP is a very danceable 80’s style progressive tune that brings to mind the beaches in Miami with the sun shining at full blast. The shimmering pad effects in this are like the reflection of the sun glimmering across the sunglasses of an 80’s movie or TV show protagonist, with the vocal samples making the message crystal clear. It’s time to put on your Hawaii shirt and shine like the sun.

My Way Home

The B-side, “My Way Home”, is a bit of a deeper Indie Dance/Nu Disco tune, having a similar soundscape to “Shine” but with a significantly different flavour. The overall vibe of the track sounds like our protagonist is driving down Collins Avenue after a long day at the beach, trying to get home while the sun is slowly setting in the horizon. The chilled yet decisive drum beats keep you going right until the ending credits roll.

We’re proud to present our second release of the year, which is a single release of Aji Mon Nair’s Let’s Get Retro, which was even selected as Push The Button winner on ABGT episode 51 back when it was first released alongside Crown of Beauty. It invites you to get nostalgic with some vibes from the previous decades combined with the high fidelity sound of today. This single along with all the remixes is sure to lighten your mood a bit and make your mind wander into distant places.

The highly talented Roddy Reynaert has taken a very refreshing 90’s piano style approach in his remix. This version does a very good job of sounding chilled and energetic at the same time.

Our second remixer is Mark Nails with his progressive trance rendition of the tune. This interpretation takes it to a whole new level of intensity and does so without compromising the retro vibe of the original.

Last but not least of our remixers is Gary McDonald who decided to chill it down a notch to get a very indie dance feeling going. This adaptation is very atmoshpere driven and makes you feel almost as if you’re floating.

Fiddler makes his debut on Fuzzy Recordings with this dark and atmospheric progressive track. “Indistinctive Things” is a very analogue and organic tune with a warm bass and ethereal synths and effects. We’re very proud to have this artist on our roster and we hope to work with him more in the future.

Simos Tagias takes a slightly more driving approach to the track by adding some sweet echoed top melodies and changing the bass notes a bit to give his remix some more livelihood. Some carefully placed noise sweeps and percussion effects also intensify the mood of this version.

The remix by Ronfoller chills things down, concentrating on building the feeling of a wide space with distant sounding reverbs on the main theme and some cavernous drum hits. To prevent the listener form getting too comfortable, some alternate takes on the original track’s melody are also thrown in the mix to spice things up.

Mizar B - Monument (Reminiscence Mix)
This track brings colorful fireworks to the dance floor. It's arrangement is saturated with heavily synthesized sounds, an electro bassline, and groovy retro-oriented percussion. While it retains its old-school influences, the atmospheric compliment the drum and bass lIcks.

Twenty-Three - Alya (Michael Hokanson Remix)
Riding on the wave of Nu Disco fever, this retro-influenced disco remix carries nostalgic elements from the early European and American dance scenes. The foundational disco drum groove and retrowave-inspired bassline are characterized by light keyboard notes, orchestral strings, bell chimes, funk guitar licks, and voice chops. 

Nicolas Barnes - Lucity (Gianmarco Fabbretti Remix)

Riding on the wave of Nu Disco fever, this retro-influenced disco remix carries nostalgic elements from the early European and American dance scenes. The foundational disco drum groove and retrowave-inspired bassline are characterized by light keyboard notes, orchestral strings, bell chimes, funk guitar licks, and voice chops.

Nicolas Barnes - Lucity (Gianmarco Fabbretti Remix)
Fabbretti magically amalgamates big room and progressive elements with retro grooves to transmute an 80’s influenced track into a festive dance floor bomb. Eloquently keeping the trendy values of the 80’s, flushed over a progressive rhythm and delicate synths, Fabbretti’s Lucity will elicit an emotional thirst for the summer.

Nerutto - Beverly Hills Cop (Luca Dean & Kris Samsel Remix)
Originally inspired by the self-titled 1980’s film, Dean and Samsel explore the atmosphere of the 80’s era and aesthetically embody it into a retro themed synthwave track. Heavily synthesized bass lines and leads, gated reverb, and electronic drums contribute to this track’s aesthetic values.

Argentinian producer Dario Tello, better known as Airdraw, is welcomed back on the Fuzzy label under the guise Flexible Fire to offer a another dimension to his usual progressive style. 

Original Mix

This Nu Disco based track is soulful, retro, and melodic. It builds character graciously over the essential house and disco drum groove, tempered by layers of voice chops, piano riffs, and digital and analog synths that, together, accentuate a charismatic experience.

Hexlogic Remix

Renowned Ukrainian producer Hexlogic gives his deeper interpretation, lending a slower, more concentrated melody over spacious use of percussion that perfectly balances the acoustics, delicate pads, and vocal chops.

Gux Jiminez Remix

More progressive in body, this remix is characterized by its underlying groove and melodic elements. In the breakdown, the vocal chops are introduced rather than looping throughout as heard in the original. A slight build up drops into the funky groove.

Bringing in the new years with another fantastic release from Fuzzy
Recordings, we are proud to present Arthur Dunkan's new single
"Daquri". In his new single Dunkan features a steady groove,
intelligent stereo imaging, and prominent use of unique synths and
leads.
First up on remix duty, we have a powerful remix from polish producer
Wojciech Tuszynski. Not too long ago this brilliant artist released
his very own EP "The Pianist" on Fuzzy Recordings and we are once
again glad to have his talent aboard this project. W. Tuszynski's
remix starts off with a subtle kick and strong clap which is later on
accompanied by chords, a beautiful catchy arp, strong kick, and thick
bassline. With immaculate sound design and dynamic placement of
instruments and effects we are definitely happy to bring this sort of
talent from our hearts and ears to yours.
Also included in the release is a chilling breaks remix from Russian
artist Digital Department. With the breakbeat groove, deep bass, and a
nice little change up in the middle it is definitely a very
intelligent thought out and programmed track.
Last but not least is a smooth remix from new and upcoming progressive
house artist Alexander Chilari. In Alexander's version of "Daquri" he
takes the original and transforms it into an atmospheric dream with
intelligent chord/sound design and heavy but innovative use of
stuttering effects. Alexander Chilari is definitely an artist to keep
a close eye on

Fuzzy Recordings proudly presents Mike EFEX's 7 30/ Luna Llena release. Mike EFEX has been no stranger in the EDM industry and has past originals and remixes that can be found on labels such as Armada Music, Infrasonic Music, Neuroscience Recordings and many more with multiple supports from the world's top 100 DJs. This talented and all around producer has been constantly evolving and innovating his own style and sounds as an artist and we couldn't be any happier with this release.
 
First up is Mike's original mix of "7 30". The track starts off with strong ambient pads and vocal cuts. Once the deep bassline digresses the hi-hats and chords slowly come into play and the track explodes into a seriously groovy track. The perfectly designed kick and percussions accompanied by the bouncy side-chained bassline and beautiful chords arrangement is pure progressive bliss. Our Fuzzy review staff couldn't help but head bob and groove along with the beat. The stereo imaging and reverb of the vocals and guitar certainly brings a nice summery layback vibe and is simply the frosting of the already delicious cake.
 
From Liverpool UK, James Ardrey AKA Mindset brings a super mellow "Midnight Drive" version of Mike's track "7 30". Mindset does a superb reinterpretation of the tune by slowing the initial tempo down and chilled to a steady 122BPM. This remix starts off with a soft kick and phased/flanged pad that really brings out the warmth of the track. With added intelligent synths, percussions, the right amount of vocals and an overall steady progression, this track is a cooler than a Tauntaun riding through a blizzard on Hoth.
 
Moving on to the other stunning original from Mike Efex is his track "Luna Llena". This tune features a deep driving bassline and drum pattern and revolves around a nicely reverbed main synth melody and pockets of soft soothing guitar. 
 
The next and last remixer on the featured release is Aquareef. Definitely making a name for himself the past couple of years, this talented German artist has done a fine job at remix duty. While maintaining the same deep driving bassline Aquareef has also slowed the track down to 125BPM, softens up the kick, and reinvented the main synth melody into to a chord synth.
