can you feel the sweat dripping from the walls ? the suffocatingly warm air that grips you as you enter the dancefloor after a short trip to the bathroom ? that sense of urgency as every song playing feels like the last one ?

this time around, I’ve tried exploring the manic energy that gets ahold of us on the dancefloor, when the night is almost ending, when you can see in the horizon that the sun is slowly rising. you don’t even know what day is it anymore, where you are, what planet you’re on, you just know you want to keep on dancing. just one more song. just one last passionate embrace with the stranger(s) you kissed a few hours ago.

and then, out of all the chaos, as the first rays of light appear, bliss. as the last track plays and the last lines of synth vanish into the morning air, some will go home, fulfilled by a cathartic night spent dancing, but others will dive back into the night and prolong that feeling. what will you choose ?

the name “pac choi” is a play on words between my name, Pacôme, and a staple vegetable of South-East Asian cuisine, Pak Choy. 🥬
