David Sylvester’s production captures the melancholy and euphoria of this emotional journey with sweeping synths, soulful keys, and an insistent, cathartic house beat. The song climaxes with King Saturn’s declaration of eternal love: “I’ll be yours and we’ll be young forever.”

“Young Forever” by producer David Sylvester and vocalist/dancer/performance artist Saturn Rising (aka King Saturn) gets seven all-new remixes by a diverse group of outstanding producers. Eddie Gessford combines future-vogue brawn with dub’s half-time beauty in his throbbing reinterpretation. Multimedia performance artist vainhein unleashes an industrial assault, adding teeth to the tenderness of the original. Seattle-based duo Cid & Fancy (aka Futurewife and Rob Hanlon) fake you out with a delicate 2-step tease that builds into a pummelling bass-heavy climax. The industrial broken beats and moody atmospherics of Vincent Parker’s reconstruction, while leaving the original’s vocal structure intact, create an entirely new emotional experience. Baltimore club duo Normaling (aka Lemz & .rar Kelly) pull no punches, delivering a fierce vogue treatment ready to slay the floor. ONE55 gives the track the club treatment with a stripped-down arrangement and a heavy bass line. The deep house version by North Carolina-based producer Lady Fingers reconstitutes the sounds of the original into a spacey dance floor meditation. The release closes with remastered versions of the Original Mix and the radio-friendly Single Edit.

Italian duo Hard Ton are a flamboyant synthesis of acid house, disco-diva vocals, and queer performance art. “Blame It On The E” is a previously-unreleased acid and piano-driven gem from Hard Ton’s back catalog. Originally incorporated into a DJ mix by Dimitri From Paris, “Blame It On The E” is seeing official release for the first time with an EP on Friends With Benefits Records. The release includes new remixes of the title track from Berlin-based Juan Ramos (Cocktail d’Amore, ESP Institute) and FWB label head the Prey (formerly known as David Sylvester). The EP also includes a special bonus track: the previously-unreleased Matrixxman dub of “We Got Luv.”
