Roof.fm has always been about the memories. Those moments on the dancefloor when sparks fly about and everything becomes one. The DJ, the crowd, the music and the place. They're rare, these moments, but this man here, Kalabrese, is one of the most reliable conjurers of such boom-boom magic. Zurich impressario Sacha Winkler has been in our heart (and record racks) since his first release "Airolo" thirteen years ago. It's fair to say that Kalabrese is the most original house producer in our small country called Switzerland. Here, Kalabrese talks about his new album "Independent Dancer" and the many unreleased gems he included on his podcast. We're proud to have you on board, Kala. Boom.

Saulty, a man behind Downtown Party Network project, has been djing since 1998 and touring the world for the last 15 years, from Japan to US, Australia to Asia and Europe as well as organising his own parties at the legendary clubs in Vilnius – Gravity, Woo and Opium Club. As Downtown Party Network he has released music on labels like Futureboogie, Dirt Crew, Best Kept Secret, Silence Music and Eskimo Recordings to name a few. Saulty was also a part of Potato Head family in Hong Kong where he was doing all things music alongside Johnny Hiller. Now he is residing in Vilnius, Lithuania and is a part of an extended Opium Club family.

Our last week’s show was a very enjoyable one with Duererstuben. The vibes were great. Duererstuben took us on a trip, starting with Ambient, Soul and Downtempo goodies to Disco and House tunes.

Clarian North is always one to give an interesting interview (you only have to read his bio to get the the jist). The transcendental house music producer has collaborated with Clockwork and Guy Gerber to name but a few, was one half of the house/techno/left-field pop group Footprintz and now heads up A&R at Seth Troxler’s new imprint Soft Touch.
The label covers all bases, rolling techno grooves, calypso post-punk disco and dreamy sixties, West Coast pop vibes all into one.
 
Musically influenced by Buddha and Action Bronson, and fuelled by a heady diet of cigarettes and peanut butter, the Canadian-born DJ and producer chatted to i-D and delivered us a mix chock full of woozy Soft Touch sounds.

Clarian: Music To... Be Soft Touched By

Antoine Harispuru, otherwise known as @golden-bug, has been delivering consistently excellent levels of disco-tinged house and electro for the last ten years, and it was only a matter of time before he popped up on Ivan Smagghe and Leon Oakey's eclectic Les Disques De La Mort.

His last record Wild Boys EP is a smart mix between sticky disco, robotic beats, lo-fi psychedelia and a perfect taster of his upcoming LP, V.I.C.T.O.R, expected in April 2016.

For № 36, Golden Bug has put together a psychedelic cinematic soundtrack of weird spanish music, catalan dub and slow porn disco.

Considered two of the progenitors of modern "intelligent" electronic music (alongside Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin and Squarepusher), Ed and Andy of Plaid have been pushing the envelop and defining excellence in electronic music for over 25 years. Somehow their releases have only managed to get better as time goes on. It's a massive honor to be able to post an exclusive mix by these inscrutable legends and they've cooked up a relentless and lovely brain scrambler. Enjoy!
