MINCO is a Berlin born and raised artist. Her sound is a brilliant fusion of Berlin clubbing sensibilities, a family lineage rooted in West Africa and an enlightening trip to South Africa, where she really fell in love with house music. She puts this mix of cultures and experiences to great use behind the decks, incorporating intense and driving melodic house and techno with an uncontested rhythmic funk. Currently MINCO is a part of the Berlin-based Rise Collective and a resident at the highly prestigious Watergate club. We are please to welcome her to the FWD.DJ family with an exclusive and cuttingly fresh mix.

Later, when a lot of time passes and all this becomes history, we’ll be reflecting on whatever happened, the whole staying home stuff, the empty streets and the very unexpected news, the people we suddenly realized we really miss and those without whom not much changed in our lives, working from home, going to bed and waking up at random hours and losing track of time in general, forgetting what day of the week it is and living each day with the hope that everything will be okay and over soon. And when this, whatever it is, is over, we’ll be looking for words to describe it – an epidemic, isolation, or even war. But no matter what words we find, we’ll all agree that these are interesting times, and that nothing has ever come close to these days. @knotk’s mix is exactly about the interesting: you may not wish to dance or jump when you listen to it, but you will definitely try to arrange these days in your memory drawers.
