Astropolis Records' DÔME sub-label is once again celebrating artists from the west of France with its 9th EP! With downtempo dubby, IDM and deconstructed rhythms, ravy and trancy club music, and shimmering electro grooves, the release smells Astropolis next edition vibes with this multi-faceted journey including tracks by Cwtch, Too Smooth Christ, Gneiss and Slow Dimension.

With ‘Dawnfall’, Rennes-based duo Cwtch (ratio/club), bringing together Pal Parallax and Fallen Tape, plunge us into a high-voltage IDM, in a chiaroscuro universe of deep sound design.

The second track is by Too Smooth Christ (Nocta Numerica, Kalahari Oyster Cult, mule musiq), a Finistère native with a love of vintage synths and original electro. Somewhere between analogue house and electro balladry, ‘Forbidden Bubblegum’ smacks of the joys of open-air bouncing and summer nostalgia.

Brest-based producer Gneiss slips us into a night-time party with ‘Capybaras Nebulae’. A ravy and trancy anthem tinged with progressive and shamanic atmospheres, with its acid line. A fine blend of contemporary club culture, reflecting his many influences.

The EP closes with the melancholy dub techno of Lou Berlinger aka Slow Dimension from Nantes, on ‘Tesla’, where organic sounds blend with catchy percussive sonorities in a luminous universe.

Avec des synthés percutants et des mélodies mélancolique, c’est avec ce mélange qu’il compose autour des différents éléments liés à la nature (l’écoulement de l’eau, le réveil matinal des oiseaux, le bruit du vent dans un champ de blé, etc.)
Explorant différents univers musicaux, c’est dans les sous genre de la house qu’il dessine sa pate artistique. Entre synthétiseurs analogiques, instruments acoustiques et son amour pour les percussions, vous y retrouverez dans sa musique, un ensemble convaincant d’une musique électronique riche, à la fois rythmée, rêveuse et nostalgique.

Imagine nature at the very heart of musical creation. That's what Fydem wants to prioritise in his creations. With percussive synths and melancholy melodies, it's with this mix that he composes around the various elements linked to nature (the flow of water, the morning awakening of birds, the sound of wind in a wheat field, etc.).
Exploring different musical universes, it is in the sub-genres of house that he shapes his artistic style.
