Hardly a week passes where there is not an attack on Irish neutrality and why we need have closer alignment with the EU militarisation strategy.

The people's of the member states of the EU have time and time again have opposed this strategy.  The current war against the Palestinian people in Gaza by Israel has been opposed by tens of millions of citizens across the member States. Yet the peoples demands for a ceasefire has fallen on deaf ears with the EU. 

The EU instead has continued to support Israel in its genocidal war.  

This is a clear warning to the People's of Europe of what the future holds if we do not stop this drive to militarism. 

The Irish people have consistently opposed joining NATO as well of any engagement with this militarism.

We need step up our opposition to the ongoing erosion of neutrality. To reasert a positive independent foreign policy in line with the historical experience of our people's long struggle for freedom and independence from colonial domination.
