Wanneer Sjinkie hoort dat de elfstedentocht niet doorgaat, besluit hij in te grijpen. Door middel van een bloedoffer van Ferry Doedens vriest het water aan met bloed. Sjinkie denkt de overwinning binnen te halen, maar wordt overtroffen door Wopke Hoekstra die een bloedoffer aan god heeft gedaan. Ferd staat op hem te wachten met een kratje Holger en snert.
