Slate Blue is the latest beat tape from Arizona-based beatmaker and self-proclaimed "Loop-Digga", el. With dazzling sample choices combined with hard-hitting drums, this 8-track offering is tightly wound and stays true to the "quality over quantity" theory.

The opening track, "Heavy", sets the tone immediately (prefaced with an audio clip from a popular 90's crime-drama film) and the Marv Krown assisted "Grey" closes the project on a high note that leaves the listener wanting more.

Overall, this is a short, yet fulfilling tape that begs the question: "what's next for the 31-year old beatmaker?"
