My friend Aaron had a request from his friend to hear him sing a song. He had an idea for this song in this style. I provided chord ideas, keyboard playing, and recording support.

Aaron Brown - No One (Alicia Keys Cover)

I just heard this chord+melody idea in my mind for the heavily-effected piano sound and needed to record it. A simple descending chord progression with a clockwork-like top melody evoking a feel of clock-watching while waiting for a highly-anticipated moment involving a loved on. The cello is representative of the many thoughts, hopes and fears of the outcome. The high pad sort of brings a soft, affectionate quality.
