“Reverie” portrays fragments of a memory of a penurious old lady who once lived beneath the watchtower, in an abandoned house with her cow. She was enslaved and mistreated by her siblings after her husband passed away a few years back. She led a life of misery and loneliness, but one cannot help but wondering about her past life and hoping that sometime in earlier years, she was happy and enjoying her days.

This is a tribute to this random human being whose life didn’t matter and whose memory is fading over the years. It’s a celebration of her life and a fiction of what could it be.

"I ritmi improvvisi del silenzio" is the debut album by "come le onde", the new artistic moniker adopted by Sardinian composer Andrea Porcu, formerly known as "Music For Sleep".

Suddenly, silence falls. A silence punctuated by natural and imaginary rhythms that resonate in our minds like powerful amplifiers of past, present, and future emotions. These rhythms move like waves, shockwaves that shatter like crystals and traverse through our sea of uncertainties. These uncertainties emerge and anchor themselves in a deep abyss, ever-changing and adorned with imaginary perceptions. These imaginary perceptions suddenly find space in the silence, and within the silence, they find the echo of suppressed cries and hopes waiting to be set free. And thus, hopes find liberation, "I ritmi improvvisi del silenzio".

In this album, we also find collaborations with two incredible Japanese artists, Satomimagae and Tatsuro Murakami.

"Forgotten Stories" is envisioned as a collection of ten short stories, centered around the theme of rediscovering and shedding light on ten particular narratives that have been obscured by the passage of time. This project represents a personal acknowledgment of the fragility of our memories and seeks solace in the profound beauty of nostalgia.

The loops utilised in the creation of this collection were recorded over a span of five years in France, captured on tape. The mixing process took place throughout 2023, incorporating additional elements such as field recordings and shortwave radio signals.

Bluebird 

At nightfall, his senses alert to the shifting between wakefulness and dreams. Lost in reverie, he dreamed of fireflies, their soft glow offering a flicker of hope in the darkness.

Recalling Memory I: He reflected on fragments of his father’s tales—the legend of the Bluebird, a symbol of adventure and possibility. Memories of their shared moments filled him with warmth as he embarked on his odyssey to find this holy creature, leaving behind the familiar streets of his hometown. 

Recalling Memory II: A shared laugh with his mother, her voice became a comforting presence amidst the play of carillons against the wind and the uncertainty of what’s ahead.

It didn’t take him long to realise that the Bluebird was not merely a destination but a journey—a journey woven with memories, dreams, nostalgia, and the relentless pursuit of hope and tranquility.
