Japanese artist Yunosuke Senoo, aka Lycoriscoris, returns to Anjunadeep with his new album 'Chiyu'.

In recent years, Senoo has built a cult following as part of a new wave of Japanese producers. His signature blend of organic melodies with intricate sound design have won him support from the likes of DJ Koze, Michael Mayer, &ME and BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart. A multi-instrumentalist, Senoo has played live alongside the likes of The Field and Moritz Von Oswald at venues including Tokyo’s legendary Dommune. 

Composed throughout 2020, 'Chiyu' documents Senoo’s journey of reflection and recovery.  

“Memories and retrospection are the fundamental concept that inspire my music. For instance, my own artist name plays on the name of the Lycoris flower. In Japan, it's often found near cemeteries, which is of course a dark connotation - however one day when searching in the Language of Flowers (Floriography) I discovered that the word Lycoris also means “I’m looking forward to seeing you again”. 

I realised how this dark flower also hides a beautiful and positive message. I think my music, and my new album ‘Chiyu’, has the same kind of dualism as the Lycoris flower.”

With influences ranging from Boards of Canada and Christian Löffler, Senoo showcases his delicate production style over the 9 tracks of ‘Chiyu’. From the intertwining melodies in ‘Shizumu’ to the polyrhythmic textures of ‘Utsurou', Seeno combines dreamy soundscapes with modern electronica. A skilled photographer, Senoo also provides the imagery for the album artwork shot in his native, Japan.

Senoo’s new album follows the release of his acclaimed LP ‘Flight’, released on Anjunadeep in 2018. Positioning in the top 5 Electronic albums on iTunes, 'Flight' gained support on tastemaker stations including BBC Radio 1, KEXP and NTS Radio as well as international press support.

After several works revisiting Aragonese folklore, Idoipe lands on Aragon Day (April 23) with an LP of 8 songs in which he mixes his background as a musician and his electronic influences, with his love for the land where he was born and the memories of traditional songs performed by his grandparents and relatives with whom he has grown up. 

The result of this "Cierzo Lento" is very personal, and manages to trigger a feeling that is sometimes disconcerting, familiar and cozy at the same time, which marks the end of a stage and the beginning for a label that has never ceased to surprise us and bet on artists capable of questioning, like few others, the established. A delight only suitable for music lovers.

On remix duty we see the great talent of Dustin Nantais taking his steps and rebuilds through his mindset. He definitely wrote something rare and special for the release. The deep approach shines through, and it is a really cool one coming up here.

Shane Robinson is next up, and he delivers a wast rework, as he builds a truly deep interpretation with super tight textures built through pads, melodies and dark bass lines.
Last out is a re-take coming from the one and only Steve Ness, a producer that never fails and always uses his creative side. It’s a driving piece of musical art coming up here, and if you’re up for a great treat with fine moods and hypnotic feelings, then this is the one for you.

Eclecticism has always been a priority at Art Vibes and we're proud to release ‘Skydiver', the very first album of Max Tenrom. The Toulouse born multi-instrumentalist, producer, and live performer debuts with 6 originals, gathering the whole scope of his influences to create a meaningful electronic tale. Moreover, We are delighted to have amazing remixes from Holed Coin, Mashk and Fractal Architect.

‘Native' unveils its raw beauty progressively. Piano chords set up the scenery, promptly followed by haunting male vocals and roaring bass lines. The atmosphere becomes almost ceremonial at times and one gets caught reminiscing of lost memories, picturing wild places and local rituals.

‘Skydiver' and it's mesmerizing classical guitar! The hopping licks on the guitar strings are melancholic yet hopeful. Soothing for the mind, the piece is also a direct escapade to the sunny villages of Andalucía, incentivizing one to lose himself and dance.

‘The Lake' is a sumptuous piece of Art in which deep basslines collide with synth pads and high pitched vocals. 
A proper way of enjoying this craft would be to drive on large roads surrounded by infinite fields and ocean-blue lakes…

Unique percussive sounds and complex rhythms give a steady ground to ‘Archived', a heartwarming and inspiring piece. Almost orchestral, the production is marked by background strings, choir-like male vocals and distorted synth melodies. Max has achieved a distinct and refined sound design, full of surprises!

‘Substance' opens with mysterious sounds and gentle piano melodies. Tension keeps building up with the standing synth arpeggios. Alleviations are scarce but achieved through atmospheric breaks and occasional jazzy keyboard patterns. While the melodic parts is conveying a certain sorrow, the straightforward beat and throbbing bass are resolutely empowering.

‘Analog Days' share the same vibe as Substance and starts off with an ambient soundscape sprinkled with reversed piano touches. Surprisingly jazzy at times, the track is powerful and hypnotic.

Spanish talent Holed Coin gave ‘Skydiver' a whole new touch. While keeping the original classical guitar sound, he used it and reshaped this piece with groove and elegance. Sparkle this with various syncopated rolling and pitching percussions, a perfect mid-tempo vibe and you get a tune with a sincere charm.

Opening to airy pads and atmospheric noises, Mashk's remix of Archived has a lot of space and has room for introspection. Minimal and dreamy, subtilely ambient, the remix gets one in a hypnotic escapade with eyes wide shut.

Staying true to the original melodies, the enigmatic Fractal Architect from Bristol, has drawn a clubby vision of Analog Days. Lots of textures intertwine during the breaks while the drops are contrasting with a precise and melodic soundscape. What an uplifting and vibrant alternative version!

Los Angeles-based artist Eric Sharp links up once again with longtime collaborator Zhao on the Swedish imprint House Music With Love for an emotional single titled 'Monday Blues' and now the remix package includes three new mint versions by Pandhora, Urmet K and SOAME. 


Pandhora creates very smooth track with a percussion-play that is right on point making it blend perfectly together with the bassline and the wobbly synthesizers. The vocals and the samples are cleverly used and well placed, and the live guitar riffs give it that little extra touch. This track is spacious, yet warm and intimate.
