When Miami comes calling, you can be sure that Hardwell and his Revealed Recordings imprint have a few tricks up their sleeves. Dynamic Brazilian newcomers Ftampa and Bruno Barudi bring their signature electro stylings with “Falcon,” leaving national peer Paniek to lead with his melodic progressive aptitude for “Spark It Up.” It’s Blackwhited & Tybo’s “Avalanche” that give the EP its first aptly titled festival banger, with Flatdisk following suit with his own epically tailored big room cut “Atlantis.” Karim Mika balances both sides of the genre coin with “Oh Shit,” leaving Naffz & Nick Mathon to take MAKJ and Hardwell’s “Countdown” on an immaculate journey into the sound of modern trap music. Wow. Our podcast has been wracking up some serious airmiles of late. Following on from last weeks jaunt to Brazil to harvest the sounds of Volkoder comes a trip Stateside to enjoy the talents of Louisville based DJ and producer Amtrac. A producer we’ve had our eye on for a while, Amtrac has  quickly amassed a loyal fanbase through a relentless tour and release schedule and with material as strong as his debut release on Toolroom Records, ‘Those Days’ it’s not hard to see why he’s established such a devoted following.

For Amtrac house music is all about “rhythm and soul” and after listening to his work in both the studio and the DJ booth we knew that this was an artist we needed to get on the podcast to share with you. So here it is, 1 hour of unadulterated house bliss courtesy of Amtrac. Enjoy.

In the build up to this year's ADE, Mark Knight's Toolroom Records has revealed the sampler for its Amsterdam 2014 compilation.

The release features a double helping of finely crafted tech house: Harry Romero & Doorly's 'The Truth' and 'Keep On' by Prok & Fitch & Rene Amesz. Both tracks are designed to capture the "pure, underground sound of the Dutch Dance capital."

In 2010, Kosmo Records signed a deal with an unknown singer from London for his first single "When It’s Alright". The contract also contained an option for the global rights to his debut album, which had been recorded in a small London studio. Then, after collaborations with DJ/producer teams like Naughty Boy and Disclosure, the talented young vocalist's career took off in 2013.
In 2014 he then brought out his solo album, which was a huge success around the globe and established him as probably the UK's most promising young vocal act:
The artist's name is Sam Smith.
Early in 2014, Kosmo Records released the Deep House version of "When It’s Alright", produced by the gifted producer team Juun, as a kind of follow-up to the Sam Smith collaborations like "Latch" and "Lalala".
After the fantastic feedback on Juun feat. Sam Smith, "When It’s Alright", Kosmo Records decided to release a further single from the as yet unreleased Sam Smith debut album, gaining Freddy Verano to produce the superb song "Moments".
This German-Columbian House DJ currently lives in Cologne, where he has been causing a furore as the resident of legendary clubs like the Neuschwanstein and the Tiefenrausch. He has already made the Top 3 of the HypeMachine charts twice in 2014 with his productions and collaborations "Shine" and "Dernière Danse", catapulting him out of the Insider Tip category in the German and worldwide House community.
Now, with his first single on Kosmo Records, "Moments" feat. Sam Smith, it would seem he has made his big breakthrough. He manages to expertly translate this melancholy pop hit with the unmistakable voice of Sam Smith into the electronic genre, without sacrificing any of the feeling: Big Emotions in the verses meet up here with dynamic pianos and a catchy hook in the chorus.
Freddy Verano calls his style "Sunshine House", which pretty much sums it up, because in "Moments" you can feel the heat as soon as the first beats hit your ears...
