Glitch

[PREMIERE] | Dirty Youth - Glitch [EHRZN019]

Romanian-born and Italian-based DJ, producer and label-head Ketch has carved out a distinctive space in the scene through his dark, texturised grooves laced with tribal, dub and acid elements. Ketch’s unique sound design creates a bridge between visceral energy and intricate soundscapes. Aside from crafting, Ketch co-founded labels SYXT (2018) and Glukkon Records (2019), having contributed to both labels with several of his own releases. Ketch has left his sonic imprint on Europe, having performed in cities such as Berlin, Amsterdam and Warsaw and will tour around the US in 2025.  

Ketch’s productions are minimalist, blending industrial soundscapes with abstract elements to transport listeners on an otherworldly journey. This podcast is a dynamic blend of textured rhythms and hypnotic elements, masterfully multi-layered to keep you moving without pause.

The term "artist to watch" gets thrown around a lot these days, especially with the volume of new artists entering the scene with unprecedented access to tracks, information, and technology. Often, however, it's a certain attitude that elevates the true heads above the groundswell of an ocean of new artists, and Connor Wall is unquestionably of this ilk.

Inspired from past, present and future experiences - Connor's creative constancy has allowed him to shape his sound into the organic, weighty, and effective tracks you can hear on labels like Treatment, Float, Phorum and WSNWG.  There is a potent, heart-palpitating sonic representation that accompanies anything Connor does, and part of the reason why he is such an exciting prospect leading into the future. His devotion to a particular sound and approach has driven his ability to grow rapidly since entering the scene just a few years ago, and it is this obsession that will continue to allow him to blossom. He’s an artist to watch by all accounts, and whether it’s DJing or producing, he is emerging as an essential feature of Australia.

The Berlin-based DJ and producer Bidoben’s sound merges the spiritual with the physical. Drawing on a lifelong relationship with music, beginning with instruments in his youth and evolving into textured electronic production; his work channels rhythm, emotion, and tension in equal measure.

With releases on Clergy, Truncate, and most recently Sublunar, Bidoben’s output leans into the hypnotic side of techno: deep, percussive and full of layered detail. His brand new EP “Torment” showcases this perfectly, moving from high-impact floor tools to more introspective sonic sketches, all rooted in a desire to evoke something beyond the surface.

Inspired by nature, film and the metaphysical, Bidoben brings a cinematic, almost meditative quality to the booth; crafting sets that are immersive, driving, and emotionally resonant.

Rising Romanian producer Vern presents his "Liman EP" for Lokomotiv's fourth release, with LKMV004 featuring 3 original tracks, complemented by a remix from Ukrainian craftsman Silat Beksi.

Eter provides an emphatic introduction to the EP, building on the myriad of soundscapes that have marked Vern as a name worthy of inclusion on the list of Romania's rising stars.

Atu inserts an upbeat feeling to the EP, led by arps and characterised by an unrelenting groove.

Liman, the EP's ardent title track introduces a low-slung, ravey element to the palette, with its bassline commandeering the track's direction while euphoric pads and arps instill an emotive elation.

Ukrainian minimal talisman Silat Beksi injects his own interpretation of Liman to round off the EP. The cut carries Beksi's signature ethereality juxtaposed by a rolling, driving low end that has already lifted heads at Sunwaves 25. 

LKMV004 has already garnered early support from multiple artist's globally and continues to preach the Lokomotiv scripture from Australia to the Black Sea.

2019 with Hamish @hamishglass he launched party series in Guernsey like Deep House Therapy, Underground Thursday and Electronic Garden.
