SUMMER 2016 RELEASE

The first types of music I have living memory of are soca/calypso and reggae, feeling their vibrations (literally) all through my house. Whether it was a party or my dad just running tunes on the weekend, the rhythm took over. When I was growing up and heard soca playing, I knew that all bad vibes would be put on hold just for that moment. It was my first lesson in presence and liberation. I learned that it’s more than just wining up my waist; it’s the freedom to do so (and have the decency to not carry on like that everywhere haha). It’s more than party music; it’s about unity through these vibes. The way it elevates you. It’s an escape to euphoria. Such has been ingrained in my heart since birth, and has been medicine for my soul.
So with that being said, here’s a dose of love & positivity -- and mad culture!
