PURELY RHOMBUS BEATS"!!! The year is 2002, three hardcore ravers bored of the state of the stale dance music scene (too much chill) get together & decide to create a hardcore, no-less-than-185 bpm gabba supergroup... the Gabba Surgeons! They quickly began building the materials they needed to sculpt their sonic nuggets of 4/4 gold, and locked themselves away for a year. The first sessions took place in a secluded studio in "some caves somewhere", & maintain to this day that the techniques used to create their un-rivaled productions remain a closely guarded secret. The outcome was a masterpiece. "Appendectomy for the blind" came out of nowhere, and is still considered a classic of it's time to this day. Bringing us up to 2010, the Gabba Surgeons have spend no less than 4 years putting together their next album, "GABTOPIA", due for a summer 2010 release. They say it's even better than their first album (!), and if rumours in the press are to be believed, it includes a reworking of ABBA's 'Lay all your love on me', a homage to infamous wrestler 'Scottie too hottie', plus a serious, topical number about the terrible, ongoing wars in the middle east. The Gabba Surgeons don't like to be labeled with any genre, they TRANSCEND genre, but there is one thing that you can always guarantee 100% with the Gabba Surgeons, and that is absolute heavenly quality.
