Beyond Shock

Alle Tracks sind im Zeitraum 1998-1999 (vielleicht auch Anfang 2000) entstanden. Produziert wurden sie auf einem Amiga 1200 mit den Programmen ProTracker (wenige) und Octamed Soundstudio (die Meisten).

Ich glaube, dass man den Tracks meine damalige Leidenschaft für Hardcore/Speedcore wirklich anhört. So zumindest ist mein Empfinden, jetzt, wo ich die Tracks ja aus nicht geringer Distanz betrachten kann. 
Ja, vieles erscheint vielleicht aus heutigem Standpunkt naiv oder uncool. 
Damals aber, spielte das irgendwie gar keine Rolle. Ich hoffe, dass die Alten vielleicht einen Flashback in vergangene Zeiten haben und die Jungen sehen/hören, dass im Speedcore halt wirklich nicht alles bierernst sein muss.

Cygnus The name is derived from the X-ray source Cygnus X-1 from the constellation Cygnus. Hoffmann was one of the members of the production team of Sven Väth's Eye-Q label. Hoffmann's other pseudonyms are Brainchild, AC Boutsen and Dee.FX. The project is best known for a large number of remixes of the songs Superstring and The Orange theme. In addition, as part of the Eye-Q label, Hoffmann was at the basis of the trance scene in Frankfurt am Main.

Patrick van Kerckhoven (born 1970, alias DJ Ruffneck is a darkcore or gabber DJ and producer, originating from Alblasserdam, Netherlands. An active DJ since 1985, Kerckhoven has also been involved with various record labels. In 1989, he and Jayant Edoo formed 80 Aum Records. When that closed in 1991, he went on to form Ruffneck Records and its imprints Ruffex and Ruff Intelligenze.

After a disagreement with parent label XSV Music, Kerckhoven formed Gangsta Audiovisuals and its imprint Supreme Intelligence, then in 2001, Kerckhoven also closed these and moved all artists to Enzyme Records. Enzyme has three imprints: Enzyme K7, Enzyme VIP and Enzyme X. JUGGERNAUT, another pseudonym of van Kerckhoven during his Ruffneck years, has released a single, "Ruffneck rules da artcore scene!!!", borrowing the melody of In the Hall of the Mountain King, which reached eight in the Dutch top 40 in 1997 ("Dutch Top 40 archive".

His latest imprint is called Tainted Audio and was formed to fulfill his desire to keep on experimenting with drum and bass influenced underground hardcore music.

Hardcore DJ, producer and label boss Patrick van Kerckhoven has been in the hardcore scene for over thirty years. 'It turns out that many techno and electro artists from all walks of life are very much inspired by the old hardcore scene. I'm also working on hard techno myself and I notice that it's a bit of familiar territory here and there.' In the DJ Shortlist he goes all the way, from neo-soul and soundcloud rap to hardcore and rock-hard techno.'

Leviathan aka Tellurian Born and raised in Amsterdam started producing music in 1985 in a hip-hop crew called D-P “Digital-Power”.Through hip-house Michel became obsessed with Acid House & techno what later became hardcore played at illegal parties in warehouses.He released his first record in 1992 in the formation “the TOF band”.
