Edinburgh’s C Mantle is not specific to a singular sound. But there is a style to his sound. It’s not tied to beats per minute, nor beat structure. It doesn't matter whether it’s intense speedcore; mutant hip hop manifestations; thunderous hardcore techno; or abstract electro/idm, as is the case with Anatomically Correct. There is a particular way Mantle programmes his sound. A signature sound, if you will. Sharp, angular, raw, high grade sonic precision. And not without a certain machine funk swagger to the whole thing.

Across 4 sides of 180gram vinyl Acre Recordings present some of C Mantle’s most accomplished work to date. A culmination of the very best things about Mantle’s music.

On this record he has managed to make a contradicting rough-in-feel, smooth-to-listen-to collection of work centred around interpreting entropy. Shards of sonics crunch and swell as they flow over, through and at you. Step beats, booms, icy crystals and mischievous machines flex all the while.

With wonderfully vivid playful artwork commissioned from Lukas Weidinger, mastering by Denis Blackham, Anatomically Correct is simply, a very good pure electronic record.

Psychic Liberation presents “Friendly CSA Compilations Parts 1 & 2”. A compilation in two parts consisting of artists orbiting the PL canon from around the world in an effort to raise funds for Roots Unbound Friendly CSA.

Roots Unbound (RU) is an abolitionist grassroots organization based in Brooklyn offering nature-based programming centered around food justice, therapeutic horticulture and ecological disinvestment to people in the NYC area with a focus on supporting and uplifting people impacted by the carceral system.

Friendly CSA is a cooperative, agricultural initiative that was mobilized to respond to the food apartheid within New York jails and prisons. Roots Unbound sends care packages of harvested produce that are
chosen by incarcerated folks via a newsletter sent out every month, by growing and collaborating with local New York City land stewards. This CSA is provided at no cost to the recipients, funds raised for this CSA will be used towards packaging, postage, printed materials for newsletters, and a P.O. box.

I'm very happy to present in this mix one PREMIERE from the very talented NNYz?. Eigengrau is an oniric ambient piece with deep synth textures which will make you see surpsising forms where you shouldn't be able to see anything. The track will be part of Nox Phosphenes EP, which will be released on 12.01.21. 

I'm also glad to play two UNRELEASED tracks from Carbinax, who doesn't stop to surprise us with its mental IDM and Braindance creations. Orwellian is a drumming beauty with a flying electronica final, and Elegant Assassin (Modus Haiku Mix) closes the selection with its precise fills and hypnotizing melody.
