Renowned for his intricate productions techniques and fervent dedication to all things deep, Maltese producer Melchior Sultana is an artist in the truest sense of the word. A multifaceted producer and live act, Sultana has repped some of the scene’s most renowned names in his time, with the likes of Jus Ed’s Underground Quality and Mike Grant’s Moods & Grooves among those who’ve hosted his sultry jams. The producer’s latest endeavour sees him kick off his own label, Profound Sound. A vehicle for Sultana’s own productions, the imprint’s inaugural release is ‘Love for the Art’, a four track EP that’s bristling with warm analogue goodness throughout. 
Getting us underway is the sounds of ‘Feel This’. A hazy introduction to proceedings, its packed with beguiling melodies and atmospheric vibes throughout, and though its roots lie closer to Detroit than Malta, it’s exactly the sort of gem that’d sound perfect when toasting a sunset on the Maltese coast. The A side is completed soon after with a live edit of ‘Give it to the Moon’. Another stunning track, this one comes complete with a gorgeous female vocal, and pairs Balearic tendencies with deep house characteristics. The end result being a track that’s sure to take the breath away. Stirring and emotive, it’s a fitting track with which to culminate any set. 
The B side gets underway courtesy of ‘Treasures’. Again, Sultana’s penchant for beautiful melodies is again apparent, with this one maintaining a relatively relaxed ethos that’s subtle but also stunning. Seeing us out the door is the original edit of ‘Give it to the Moon’. A handy alternative to what’s come before, it’s this version that’s sure to leave discerning tastemakers in a spin. An EP of wonderful sound and scope, Profound Sounds’s opening salvo is every bit as profound - and indeed, excellent - as the label’s title suggests.

Two veteran miscreants of UK electronics have been drafted in by Dutch imprint Shipwrec for a 12” of techno debauchery. Cousins Rich Bevan & Josh Doherty, aka Posthuman have been addicted to acid from their first contact with the caustic and cruel chords of the TB303 back in the late 90's. Since then the pair have gone on to curate their own clubnight 'I Love Acid' for over ten years, as well as doling out a fair few toxic acid classics of their own. 
The duo deliver the soured goods once again, starting the audio anarchy with the ominously titled ”Netflix and Kill”. Drum patterns are gnarled and nasty in this slow burning jacker where basslines boil over into a thick syrup of late night revelry. The flip is taken over by the bullying sounds of ”The Damocles Syndicate". The track rumbles with venomous menace. Coils of 303 spite bulge and contract under the strict resolve of a stern beat in this ready made floor filler. Two helpings from two malevolent masters of the silver box - weird acid rave music for weird dancefloors.

Joining Tartelet Records in its tenth year in business, young Copenhagen-based talent B FROM E hits the ground running with ‘Back From Eternity’; a trance-inducing garage house record for the hedonist in you.   B FROM E (Frej Garcia Levin) represents a new generation of talented young artists making waves in Copenhagen. Of Mexican-Danish descent, and born and raised in the notorious tower blocks of the southwestern suburbs of Copenhagen, the 27-year old is on the up-and-up. In high demand as the founder of boom bap rap group NATKAT, producer of pop outﬁt Ny Sensei (New Sensei) and head of tape-only label Buddahood, the multi-talent seems to have a hand in everything at the moment.   His 2017 debut ‘Porno TR-XXX’ (C.U.P) saw some of the hottest names in the game spinning B FROM E at last year’s Dekmantel festival, resulting in oﬀers from several well-known record labels. His new record on Tartelet Records comes as four cuts exploring diﬀerent paths of the garage house sound. The French Plastic Bamboo (@plasticbamboo) is dropping a unique mix of Balearic, early 90's French House, World and French Boogie with a guideline that is cheap synthesizer sounds. 

Before starting his Plastic Bamboo mixes series, he was part of the crew of les Les Yeux Orange (@les-yeux-orange). That was when he got back to France after spending 6 years in UK, Manchester, where he discovered the house and balearic scenes thanks to his roommate Patrick Ryder, who now works at Piccadilly Records and has just created his label Talking Drums (@talkingdrumsrecords). 
Until then, Camille was much more into the indie pop scene. During the years in England he toured and released tracks with his band May68 (@may68). They got a 12″, “The Prisoner”, published on Kitsuné (@kitsunemusique) and that was bridging the gap between pop and electronic music around 2010’s.
Nowadays, alongside his dj activity as Plastic Bamboo, Camille also produces music under the alias Alan Dente (@alan-dente-1). The Ep “Dark Nebula” has been released on Bordello A Parigi in 2016 and a few remixes since then in a sexy house/disco vein.
Time for this 716 mix that starts with a cover of Madonna's “La Isla Bonita” –  which used to be on my favorite album from her “True Blue” – by the Venezuelian born and Italian resident Lucia Montanari.
