The MILES FROM MARS duo is On the Way to Ozora 2023 too! Miles from Mars is a hard-hitting combo of two of Cape Town’s finest electronic beat-makers, Max Kibble & Shane Renew. With over 20 years of combined production and DJing experience, these two have rocked festivals across the country and abroad, and brought their brand of mayhem to many dance floors this side of the Solar System. Shane has been delivering gut punches of energy since apes became bipedal, and when Maximilian isn’t curating festivals, you can find him snake-charming crowds with the grooviest of techno sets.The result of such a merger of power can only be described as a sonic hybrid, channeled by off-world entities. Miles from Mars sees these two sonic shamans join forces, to create a new breed of techno, fuelled by groovy leads and pounding, world-destroying bass lines. They have a unique take on a fitting soundtrack for a dystopian revolution. This Miles From Mars Live Set 2023 contains all original tracks written by the duo, including some unreleased material they are saving for their tour in Australia and Ozora later this year. Performing at Tanglewood has always been a dream, so this set holds a special place for me as I channeled classic afternoon Australian dancefloor steeze, whilst doing my best to honor the beautiful legacy of the late Steph Born, who blessed our community with this festival.

I’m beyond grateful to have spent this New Years with most of the people I love. During the beautiful tributes for Steph by her family on the 31st evening, I was reminded to honor, enrich, and nurture the special connections I'm lucky to share with so many, something I will make my number 1 priority in 2025.

Back to the music… expect mostly Digital Structures vibes—old, new, unreleased—with dnb, ukg and halftime thrown in for a laugh. Safe to say I had a fuckin ball throwin' down behind the wheels.

Big love to @nymph.divinity for their incredible performance during the set.

Ohhhh, and none of this would be a vibey time without you beautiful units on the dfloor, the most important piece of this puzzle 🙏

Tommy Veanud, Kinky Sound and Kniagna hook up on Technoblazer for new single You Are Good while MODBIT remixes.

Veanud mixes up Afro and organic house and has for 15 years labels like Sarcasm, Exx Muzik and many more, all while playing across the world. Kniagna releases authentic melodic techno on this label as well as Bunny Tiger, and Kinky Sound is another melodic innovator with credits on Wired and Bunny Tiger amongst many more.

Their single You Are Good is a deep cut rhythm peppered with prance percussion while a dark vocal loop brings the intensity and fizzing synths light up the beats. It's a tribal gem for the club. Remixer MODBIT is a duo of experienced sound producers who repeatedly make it to the Top 100 on Beatport. Their version is paired back to a pulsing bassline and has more slick future synths building the tension.

This is another forward thinking package from Technoblazer.
