Karma ep is probably one of the most spontaneous works by Gabriel Ferreira. Produced in 2016 in various moments and interactions in which it was submerged. These five tracks, of great aesthetic variety, were achieved in a technical base with the characteristic Gabriel's touch. Karma has a powerful bass line and is the most representative track of this set. Then follow Alteration, Dogma, Swing and Thoughtful, with different sounds of garage, ideal to listen, to reflect and to dance. It is the release #069 of Ninefont and the first of this 2017 for a label who comes arming and unfolding its own style around the world.

"Aspect" opens the set with a intriguing pad, it evolves exploring the groove with a deep kick and a marked bassline. The track moves step by step towards a composition, which seems to be regulated somehow also through random selected sounds and experiments.

The valiant experimentation and continue exploration makes 'Thick Fluid' so much more than dance-floor entertainment. It brings low sounds with a non stop groove and dirty vocal which turns the track in a relax and thickish groove.

With 'Lowwood' the creation of nothing more and nothing less than a new outlook via acoustic imagination displays new facets and a particular style for dancers. This track borns from an infinite pad with suspense pitches. It brings changes of velocities, rhythmics, and it makes a different option for those curious people.

Returning to Items & Things for the first time since his appearance on the first Various Items EP in 2011, the Argentinean DJ, producer and label owner Gabriel Ferreira presents Good Trip, a five-track effort and his first solo EP for the label.

The five cuts on Good Trip were born out a sudden burst of musical inspiration, when during a visit to Berlin, Ferreira found himself stuck in his flat, transfixed by a televised classical dance competition. Channeling the classical melodies he had found so entrancing - and taking full advantage of both the cityʼs ferocious winter and influential club culture - the key ideas for the EP were laid down while still in Berlin, only to be finished when Ferreira returned to South America a short while later.

What resulted is an EP as exotic as it is functional, an exploration in the nature of rhythm and dance itself. From the bouncing bass grooves, gliding synth lines and relentless handclaps of EP opener ʻDisco Rawʼ, to the chip tune weirdness of ʻJunga,ʼ the musical influence of both European and South American dance culture resonates throughout the EPs five tracks. With the female vocal echoes and the male vocal darkness of both ʻEn Dehorsʼ and ʻFoundʼ, as well the viciously haunting melodies of closer ʻWiss,ʼ Ferreira has produced an EP that is simultaneously as unconventional as it is dancefloor friendly, as avant-garde as it is driven: an EP with an ideal home amongst the experimental techno confounds of Items & Things.

Gabriel Ferreira is a multifaceted artist in the music world: DJ, producer, remixer, and co-owner of the label Ninefont Music. Inspired by indie and retro music, he brings his own creative touch with a unique style. His work is characterized by fresh perspectives and innovative rhythms, blending sounds ranging from funk to techno.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Gabriel has always been drawn to older musical rhythms. His career as a producer began at the age of 18 when he was introduced to musical instruments and software, driven by the desire to create his own musical journey. From the start, his work was considered extravagant and evolutionary, consistently pushing boundaries with fresh, innovative sounds.

In 2011, Gabriel signed with Items & Things, a label led by Magda, Troy Pierce, and Marc Houle, releasing his first track, “Sill.” Two years later, he released his second EP, “Good Trip,” which perfectly encapsulated the essence of his musical style. Since then, Gabriel has worked tirelessly to refine his productions, with nearly 20 single releases across various digital and vinyl labels, including Items & Things, Ninefont, Creepy Finger Records, Maleza, Piso Records, This Side Up, and LDG.

As a DJ, Gabriel has performed in cities across the globe, playing at some of the biggest clubs, including Warung (Brazil), Baum (Colombia), Mandarine Park (Argentina), Bahrein (Argentina), Cocoliche (Argentina), Superclub (Argentina), Crobar (Argentina), Sisyphos (Germany), Wilden Renate (Germany), Elefant (Norway), Faraway (Peru), among others. He was also a key figure in Crobar’s transition to techno in Argentina, holding a residency from 2012 to 2015 and sharing the stage with global techno icons such as Magda, Marc Houle, Troy Pierce, Camea, John Acquaviva, Dustin Zahn, The Junkies, Phil Kieran, Stefano Noferini, Hobo, DJ Anna, Jonas Kopp, and Jay Lumen, among others.

Together with his brother Javier, Gabriel co-runs Ninefont, a label focused on minimal, techno, and disco music. Thanks to their patience, passion, and keen ear for quality music, Ninefont has gained respect worldwide, offering a distinctive concept from the Argentine electronic scene with a sound that leans closer to the styles of Berlin and Paris. Currently, their main challenge is to develop a musical concept that resonates globally, which is the core philosophy behind the label.

In 2017, Gabriel released the Karma and Sangomic EPs, both of which had a major impact on charts and dancefloors around the world. That same year, Gabriel was nominated by DJ Mag Latinoamerica as one of the top Argentinian techno producers, while Ninefont was recognized as the best label of the year.

Currently based between Buenos Aires and El Calafate, Argentina, Gabriel continues to focus on his musical vision, with exciting releases and gigs lined up for 2025.
