For our 7th release we had the great honour to sign an original track by our friend Marc DePulse (@marc-depulse) called “Arp & Down”. 

Marc is well known for the versatility of his productions, that normally are released on big and well-known labels like Einmusika, Noir Music or Parquet. “Arp & Down” once again shows this versatility. The latest edition of our free download series finds @gazel_musik for their first appearance. The duo releases an original called „Giants Walk“ on trndmsk.

trndmsk: What inspired you to produce the track?

gázel: We both come from very different musical backgrounds and have almost opposing views on sound design and arrangement tactics. This manifests itself in ways that constantly surprise us. Julian has a past in Punk, Indie and Hip Hop projects and is fond of nearly any handmade music. Lucas has been listening to experimental electronic music since his teenage years and has a past in harder music styles such as Metalcore and Hard Techno. After we listened to the finished track, we realized we fused those influences together unconsciously, while still sticking to our lowest common denominator: Downtempo. We think the track does very good job at representing who we are, musically. (...)

@Pandhora is the electronic music project of musicians AmineAmara and Rémi Forsan. Since embarking on their music production journey in 2015, they have been shaping their own psychedelic & progressive sound signature. Highly inspired by various sub-genres of rock and electronic music, their productions also contain a subtle organic touch. These influences collide in their studio, where the emphasis is put on sound exploration.In late 2018, strengthened by 3 years of creation, they started touring their live act ‘Deep Psychedelia’, a musical adventure inspired by the four elements of nature. Ranging from electronica to upbeat progressive house, their music tells a story of intriguing soundscapes. Combining mesmerizing guitar & keyboard improvisations, the musicians aim at guiding the audience delicately through hypnotic music spaces. As the story unveils, earth, water, fire & wind turn into music to create an ever-changing poetic tale.Throughout 2020, they will be working on their first full-length album, exploring various song formats & styles. Vodoom's Interpretation | 34

Today we welcome a true storyteller behind the Schirmchendrink counter: DERSU honors Schirmchendrink with his sensational cocktail named “Between the Sheets”!

It was many months back when we got in contact and first listened one of DERSU’s sets. This one was called Africa. As fans of beautifully crafted DJ mixes it was clear that we wanted him on the show.  

DERSU is a creative mastermind telling stories trough film, animation, design, and music. His career led him from sports apparel design to art, film and music. He discovered his passion for the latter as creator of Witness This, an art and culture magazine. 

His most recent projects include NightCause, a monthly dance party on the West side of L.A. where 100% of the proceeds are donated to charity, and, Wish You Were Here, a daytime party series in Venice Beach. He also is one half of the duo Peace in Noise.

Between the Sheets covers many emotions and moods, it's deep and taps into a more industrial and minimal berlin sound, with touches of spiritual and also very heart filling anthems near the end. 

You can literally tap into the emotions as it’s reflecting DERSU’s personal journey as of lately: challenging, scary, dark while also being incredibly beautiful, expansive and light.

maryo is a Polish DJ and fan of slower sounds in electronic music. During his sets, he often uses a mixture of downtempo and deep house, bravely breaking the genre boundaries. With his musical selection, he has traveled several thousand kilometers and performed over a few hundred gigs in various parts of Poland. With his sets he most often appears in the best underground Polish clubs including Smolna (Warsaw), Rura (Czestochowa), Schron (Poznan) but also at many Polish summer music festivals (Audioriver, Wisloujscie, Fest Festival, Agregatik, Fort Fest, Kaskada, Fort Open Air). He has already recorded podcast for international labels like Pachamama (UK) or Garasadah Records (Nepal). Finalist of the Polish edition of the Burn Residency competition in 2017. Since 2015, a student at the Warsaw’s Academy of Sound and the piano class at the Music School. At the decks since 2003.
