MeowMeow & BowWow is the second EP in the series of video game tribute albums by Dj CUTMAN and Spamtron. Their first collaboration was Bagu and the Riverman, which later became the seed for The Triforce of Bass. Now, the duo has turned their focus to the classic title for Nintendo Gameboy, Link's Awakening. 

Dj CUTMAN writes: 
We selected seven songs that represented the significant steps in Link's journey, from awakening on the mysterious island of Koholint, to rediscovering his legendary weapon, traversing the country side, traveling through forests and dungeons, and climbing a mountain to meet the fabled Wind Fish. 

If you're familiar with the game, you'll take extra pleasure in listening to the album in-sequence. If you didn't play Link's Awakening, I hope you can still derive the sense of adventure and excitement the game created for me.

Exploring the Coral Capers (Donkey Kong Country - Aquatic Ambience)

From ECO! :D This is the theme that plays in the two palaces in the country of Kerlynzia. In season 2, it is heard in the palace within the walls of the southern capital, Auraimsho.  It includes a bit of Kerlynzia's national anthem, too.
"The palace was something people talked about having seen, or had been by, when I was little. I heard it was a really special place, full of history and whatnot (at least after the last capital got wiped out a few hundred years back.) Anyway, my expectations were a bit different from reality. Given, I was being taken in as a prisoner when I first really got a close look at it, but it looked less fantastical and more... imposing. In time, it became part of what I came to know as 'home.' Between writing and working on commissions, I've been chipping away at this slowly. Even though this song won't play until book 2, it's been on my mind while I work on the first one. This song is a bit of a medley, and has bits of Verse's theme, a bit of Transformation, and a bit of the Sea Goddess' Temple theme in it!

 I'm still not 100% sure on how I feel about it, considering the night theme is meant to stretch across three eras of the story, but I've got a while to think about it.
