A review for the new techno-trance EP 'Galactic Portal' by Vertex:

"Vertex Blasts Off with Galactic Portal !

Vertex has released his latest EP Galactic Portal: This 2-track record is set to transport listeners to another dimension. 

The title track 'Galactic Portal' opens the EP with an energetic intro of pulsating synths that build up to a massive drop into a sea of cosmic pads and driving tech-trance acidic arpeggios. The melodies and ethnic vocals evolve and cascade over 7 minutes of runtime, taking the listener on an epic journey through space and time. Vertex demonstrates his ability to craft a complex yet cohesive arrangement that sustains interest and energy throughout.

The second track 'Candy Flip' plunges the listener through a psychedelic tunnel of warped sounds and distorted basslines. The dark, gritty production quality contrasts with the expansive sound of the first track, showcasing Vertex and South Zone's range and versatility as kindred artists. Zephyr EP houses a complete Russian take-over from the likes of Spintribe and LAVR. Sprintribe reinforces their particular, crossbreed of retro progressive techno intertwined with African rhythms and funky house that sounds like it’s the result of robotic dinosaurs getting down. On remix duties, LAVR provides us with textbook, zenonesque precision. From his space station, he commands cinematic breaks, dark stabs and fluid grooves. Zephyr EP is well-rounded in its broad approach to the underground, psychedelic sound.
